My recommendation is to stay at the White Horse Inn, in Leiston, which didn't come up when I searched, maybe because they have a charge for dogs. I walked there from where I'd booked (1mile from Butcher's Arms, Knodishall). Next time I visit Sizewell beach, I will stay at the White Horse. We knew Leiston of old. This is not an upmarket tourist town, but its location for Minsmere (and ineed much of Suffolk - Blythburgh, Southwold, Saxmundham, Framlingham, Aldeburgh, Snape etc. - is excellent. And all the people we met were great.Guest review byChrisUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Leiston is well located for visiting other places nearby such as Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Southwold and Sizewell but is not a particularly attractve in its own right. Plenty of local fast food places to eat but you have to move a little ot of the town for bit more variety. Formerly an industrial town, though in the midst of an agricultural area and only a few miles from the coast, Aldburgh, Snape Maltings Concert Hall, Minsmere RSPB reserve. Town centre has a very interesting industrial museum, but is otherwise uninspiring and surrounded by modern housing developments.
