What a fantastic stay, we absolutely loved it. Margaret is a wonderful host – extremely friendly and she went out of her way to accommodate our early arrival. The room has everything and is really well designed. The bed is very comfortable (high quality Otty mattresses!) and the shower is one of the best I’ve experienced. The adjoining garden and the fantastic location near the centre of town and by a park are worth noting too. I could not recommend Margaret and her lovely rooms highly enough!

The hotel is located a few miles outside Abergavenny, easy to find on a main road. It has a large car park at the front and is set well back so not much traffic noise .Food is typical pub grub and reasonably priced. We had a good meal and an excellent bottle of wine.

We were in Abergavenny to attend a wedding and at the time we stayed it was a vibrant and clean town. with residents taking pride in making the town looking good with flowers everywhere. Lots of independant shops, live music in local bars, and is central for exploring the region by foot, and car. Narrow roads could be an issue for cyclists.

Abergavenny is a gorgeous town set amongst the mountains.

Abergavenny is a gorgeous town set amongst the mountains. It has an excellent assortment of shops, restaurants, a theatre and cinema. Also a lovely old market hall which has a variety of different themed markets each week. There is beautiful countryside around the town where you can do walking, cycling, visit old castles and the Brecon Beacons national park. Highly recommended for a visit!

The flat is well laid out and furnished. The kitchen is modern and has all the necessary utensils and equipment for cooking and baking. The bathroom is spacious with a well-designwd shower. The flat is very comfortable. Easily sleeps 4. The owner is responsive via the Booking app messenger. The location is really good, being just a few minutes' walk from the town centre. We would gladly go back there the next time we visit Abergavenny.

Had a lovely stay in the Railway Carriage, it is a cosy hideaway in a tranquil situation, yet under a mile from the pub and shop in the village. The host's father was very friendly and gave some great tips for where to go walking. There are several delightful walks with superb views, that can be done directly from the accommodation. I fell in love with the area and Abergavenny town and will definitely return.

The Abergavenny Hotel is situated on the road into town, easy walking distance to the high Street with other bars and restaurants, but to be honest Ffion the manager runs a great bar in the evening with some superb cocktails - so we tended to relax with a few drinks there.
