Property info

Historically a Victorian School, Simpson Street was beautifully restored in 2021, into an exclusive development of eight loft apartments in Sunderland, available for short-term stays, perfect for corporate accommodation or a weekend escape. Located a short walk from Sunderland City Centre, Simpson Street Apartments are equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi and free parking. Located within a listed building, each apartment benefits from excellent transport links, as well as a fully equipped kitchen and stylish interiors. Apartment 3 is across a single level, with a double bedroom, sofabed, bathroom and large open plan kitchen and living area. There are no stairs within the apartment, however guests will have to walk down a flight of stairs in the corridor of the building to access Apartment 3. The double bedroom provides ample storage, with a clothing rail and 2 bedside tables with drawer storage. There is a sofa-bed located in the bedroom, suitable for 1 adult or child. There is a large free standing bath, with a showerhead in the bathroom. Towels are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped, with a fridge freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, dishwasher and utensils. There is also a washer dryer, which guests are free to use. There is a dining table, with 2 chairs, perfect for a double use as a home-working station. The apartment has high-speed free wi-fi. The television has access to all Freeview channels, as well as a Netflix account.

The apartments are located on the edge of Riverside Sunderland urban quarter, one of the UK’s most ambitious regeneration projects. In walking distance are scores of cafés, bars, restaurants, the city’s incredible Empire Theatre, Old Fire Station and Auditorium, Stadium of Light and the Bridges Shopping Centre. Within walking distance is Sunderland Royal Hospital and the University of Sunderland. Sunderland’s history and culture can be enjoyed at The Sunderland Empire, The Fire Station Sunderland Museum and the Winter Gardens. A short 8 minute taxi ride to the Stadium of Light makes Simpson Street perfect if you’re travelling to watch a Sunderland AFC match or visiting a music star performing at the venue!
