The weather wasn't ideal - even though it was the end of May we assumed we would have sun / cloudy weather. It rained, a lot. We managed to visit Arthur's Seat - this was incredible and one of my main reasons for visiting. There’s lots to do for a short city trip.
There’s lots to do for a short city trip. Loads of art galleries, which are of particular interest for us. We spent hours walking and visiting the various historical sites. The botanical garden was very enjoyable. There are also more than enough good bars, pubs and restaurants. Fantastic transport, easy to navigate and reasonably priced. Bus journeys capped at £4 daily irrespective of how far travelled. So many wonderful things to see and stunning views and architecture. Great shopping and even a beach with wonderful cafes/restaurants.
