Beautiful surroundings, very peaceful and lots of lovely areas both indoors and outdoors to sit and relax. We saw deer and rabbits around the grounds. The staff were very pleasant. The breakfast options were good.

Lots of lovely walks, lots of history, buses to Oxford, Didcot, trains to Bath etc.
We mainly ate at "The Cherry Tree" where we stayed, but we also tried "Mira Spice" the local Indian just down the road from The Cherry Tree and had an excellent meal.
We also tried the pub next door "The Fox" and had the most wonderful macaroni cheese,
Cherry Tree had a pub quiz on the Monday evening which we entered not expecting to do very well, but with half the pub helping we didn't do too badly.
The main reason for us going to Steventon was to go to steam train museums, one in Swindon, one in Didcote and one in Pendon, other than that we did a lot of walking discovering the local area.
