This is of course not the most luxurious of accomodations. But price quality it was an absolute winner. Staff were very friendly and did everything they could for us to have a great time. Even when it was so busy they had no tables they still went above and beyond to make sure we could have dinner. Despite the fact we had never reserved anything

Set within the stunning Lake District mountains, The Unicorn Inn is the oldest traditional pub in Ambleside. We have a bar and restaurant, with 4 rooms with attached bathroom and one 1 small box double room with adjacent bathroom. All rooms have free Wifi, tea/coffee making facilities, fresh cotton bedding, toiletries and towels. The accommodations is room only and guests have private access to the rooms and road. We have no parking but there is a public parking lot close by. The Unicorn, serves simple fresh bar food, made on site by our local chef and owners. We pride ourselves on our Sunday roasts and fine ales. Guests will always receive a warm welcome to our cozy traditional English pub.
Couples in particular like the location – they rated it 9.1 for a two-person trip.
