Pros: Privacy was assured and welcomed. Even though the barn is attached to the main property it still felt very separate and you didn't feel like you had to tiptoe around. Owners were very responsive to the one reported issue of a dead lightbulb and fixed this whilst we were out. Assigned parking space for a medium sized car. Beautiful setting in a very quiet village. Properties private garden was very nice and I'm sure will look amazing in Spring/Summer. Fell walks on doorstep. Lots of wildlife. Owners 3 dogs were friendly and generally quiet. Barn is homely, comfortable and has most of the necessary cooking/cleaning/washing facilities. Clean and presentable. Nice big rooms. Welcome pack was a nice touch. TV allowed Netflix linkage for rainy afternoon watching and the owners provided a nice selection of books. Good location for many Lake District activities and places of interest.

Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included. Travel cot, highchair and 2 stairgate. Welcome pack. . Twinkleberry Barn is a lovely well-presented cottage, adjoining the owner&rsquo;s own home and you are free to wander and explore the amazing setting. Your own private entrance leads up to the front door, the large kitchen diner overlooks the patio and has views to the fells. It has everything you need to make a hearty meal to enjoy around the dining table. A small step up leads to the living room with wood burner, comfy sofas and large screen TV to enjoy a movie together. The property dates back to the 1700s and is over 3 levels with short flights of stairs in between. For a good nights sleep the master bedroom has a kingsize bed, beams, comfortable seating, TV and a large arched window providing an attractive view of Thackthwai...
