You could not imagine a more hospitable accommodation. Graham and Allie are the most gracious, friendly and helpful hosts. They are as charming as their house is and you would be remiss to stay anywhere else in Windermere. This is not a 5* hotel, it’s a lovely couple’s efficient and clean home that they have taken great care to make incredibly comfortable and welcoming. The location is unbeatable, five minute walk to whatever you need, including the train or bus to get here, but also tucked on the end of quiet street. Graham will fill in your itinerary if you need it, share a bit of local history, and make sure you know where to get the best pint of Guinness.

At the heart of the beautiful Lake District, White Rose is located just 5 minutes' walk from Windermere village’s restaurants, pubs, cafés and shops. This Lakeland terraced house also offers breakfast available on request on arrival. Windermere Railway and Bus Stations are about 5-10 minutes' walk away. Free Wi-Fi is available in all the bright rooms, which also have television. A selection of toiletries and a hairdryer are provided in each private shower room with hand basin and toilet. Guests can enjoy a freshly cooked full English breakfast, a vegetarian or lighter option, all served in the White Rose’s light, airy breakfast room. The property can cater for special dietary requirements. Breakfast option available for an additional cost. There is a good selection of Lakeland maps and guides for guests to borrow and seats on half day and full day tours of the Lakes can be reserved.
