What I loved the most was swimming in the sea and being able to lety child swim safely. It's calm and shallow for a long way out. Safe to paddle board too. There is nothing in the town so don't go for coffee shop culture. There is one ice cream shop, a fish and chips shop and a clothes shop that's it. Cemaes Bay is a beautiful location with amazing views. It is a great place for walking. The Main Street has a craft shop, art gallery and two lovely cafes with varied menus. Also a must to try is the chippy. There is free parking available too, just behind the main street. If a beverage is required there is a popular pub and a bar near the beach. The whole place is so quaint and features a picturesque harbour into which flows a river. We loved the scenery, and the walks.
We loved the scenery, and the walks. The Community Shop is always worth a visit. The village-centre has had a welcome face-lift since we last visited. The Harbour Inn serves good food, and plenty of it, but the staff need to know more about what they are doing; they don't appear knowledgeable or well-trained. Greater attention to detail would be good. Serving stone-cold custard with a hot pudding doesn't work! On October 19 (Saturday), only three desserts, all cake, were on offer, and there weren't any 75 cl bottles of wine available.Guest review byRoger - 10.0
