20 Gray Street is located in the heart of the Liberties Dublin 8, a neighbourhood with lots of character and history. The house is located in close proximity to the Guinness Storehouse, Kilmainham Gaol, St Patricks Cathedral and Christchurch, and is only a 15 minute walk to Trinity College and Grafton Street (Dublins most fashionable shopping street). The house is a red brick artisan building over 100 years old and built by the Guinness estate. The double bedroom that is available on this listing is bright, airy, comfortable, and amazingly peaceful for a room in the centre of the city.
In the last ten years I have had the pleasure of hosting many guests from Ireland and abroad, and have really enjoyed the diversity and warmth of the guests I have met. I also take pride in letting my guests know what m neighbourhood and Dublin city have to offer. As a culture vulture and art historian, I know a lot about Dublins history and the best cultural spots.
The house is situated in a close-knit community with easy access to cafés, bar's and restaurants. The house is also extremely close to the National College of Art and Design (NCAD) on Thomas Street, and to BIMM (the British and Irish Institute of Modern Music) on Francis Street. Around the corner, Meath Street is known for its character full markets as well as its nail bar's, beauty salons, cafés, local and ethnic grocery stores, and fruit and veg shops.
