Ca’ Celestia is a comfortable apartment at the ground floor of a small venetian building, near the Arsenale in a strategical position for visiting Biennale di Venezia. A small walk will lead to Piazza S. Marco. It is easy to reach the apartment from the airport and from the railway station. In our apartment you will find a bedroom, an open space living room/kitchen with a sofa bed (2 persons) and a bathroom with shower. The apartment is at the ground floor: 2 steps above the street level + 2 steps inside, which makes it almost 1 meter above the street, for this reason the apartment is totally protected from the now rare "Acqua Alta" (high water/exceptional venetian flood). All the windows of the apartment has got fly screens, venetian blinders and supplementary shutters. The apartment is equipped with an independent heating system with radiators for winter with a personalizable thermostat. Additionally, we have recently provided a new very efficient cooling tower fan (Rowenta brand) to keep you cool during the summer. The television is not present among the other appliances in the apartment, because I believe that art books, general information on Venice and information on its current tourist offer are more useful. In the living room there is a new and very efficient radio stereo system with CD player and Bluetooth. The flat provides free broad band internet connection. Energy consumption included. Io sono un ex chimico (laurea nel 1969 presso l' Università di Milano) ricercatore e ho conseguito la laurea magistrale in Scienze Filosofiche nel 2019 presso l'Università di Milano. Amo moltissimo Venezia come pure questo piccolo appartamento dove cerco di tornare ogni mese da Milano. Ho lavorato per tre anni a Marghera nel più grande sito italiano di ricerca sui poliuretani ecologici (all' acqua). Nell' appartamento troverete anche miei acquarelli (dipinti alla scuola R. Steiner di Milano ed altre città d' Italia). The apartment is at Calle Sagredo only 50 meters away from the pier of the public waterboat-transport ACTV (Celestia stop) of the City of Venice. Arrive by train: From the railway station you can take the waterboat n. 5.2, stop at Celestia. Arrive by car: From Piazzale Roma you can take the waterboat n. 5.2, stop at Celestia. Arrive by plane: From Venice-Tessera airport you can take the waterboat Alilaguna, stop at Ospedale and then on foot (10 min) or take a second ACTV waterboat n. 5.2 or 4.2, stop at Celestia (3 min). Nearby: near the apartment you will find the church of S. Francesco della Vigna with its beautiful ancient cloister, free to visit. 10 min from the apartment you can find the art museum "Scuola Dalmata dei SS. Giorgio e Trifone" with wonderful works of art by Carpaccio.
