Giardini-Naxos and the surrounding towns are, however, unusually dirty, with a lot of litter scattered along the streets. The beach, on the other hand, has wonderfully clean and clear water. People are helpful. Traveling around, take time. The only rush is in traffic. If you travel by rental car, it helps to have a good map reader in the passenger seat and a calm mind. Honking is simply a part of the traffic culture. A motorcyclist may pass you on either the right or the left. Focus on the traffic is the most important thing. When choosing a rental car, you should go for one with medium power. Otherwise, it may not make it up the hills. We had a Toyota Yaris 1500 Petrol Hybrid Automatic. It was ok. Some good restaurants all very close. The property is near the beach but the sand beaches are about 20-25 minute walk. Don't attempt to get a train from the airport to Alcantara train station. It is quite a walk away from the property and there are no taxis. The bus depots are 5 minutes walk from the property. Here you can board all day trip excursion buses and also the bus back to Catania Airport.Guest review byJackett

The owners are superbly nice and friendly people, both speak English apart from Italian and other languages, they are very accommodating and serving excellent breakfast in the mornings, the food in Sicily is out of this world. There is a free and secured parking on the property. The visiting guest were also nice and respectful. In general, the hotel is a nice place from the 1980s but has been renovated. We loved the large Olympic pool and its surroundings. The subject is very easily accessible.
