Palestrina is an excellent base to explore this part of Lazio: close to the Castelli Romani area, Villa Adriana, Subiaco, Alatri etc. It's about 1hour from the seaside at Anzio/Nettuno. Don't forget to visit the museum in Palestrina itself which houses the impressive Nile Mosaic from Roman times. We also appreciated the cool breeze in the evening and the panorama from the terrace above the town.

It is in front of Pierluigi da Palestrina native house, just under the famous temple of Fortuna and a few steps from piazza del Duomo. The room is very large, with a large bathroom, very tastefully modernized, with a common kitchen and lounge. In spite of its central location, it was very quiet at night. The Museum and the Temple are worth a special journey to visit.MICHELEItaly

Run by a local family for years. Very friendly and great food. Great location in the centre of town and perfect for bars and restaurants...and there are plenty of those around. Overall, a good stay, despite its condition.

The host was very nice, the room was cozy and very clean and had everything we needed. There was a private parking space right in front of the house. Walking distance into the old town center was only about 10min.
