With its rustic but elegant rooms offering free WiFi, Al Palazzetto is set in a historical building and is centrally located in Tivoli, around 656 feet from the famous Villa d’Este. After a small hiccup about arrival time everything went perfectly. Simone, our host couldn’t have done more or been more charming. He even have us some superb dining recommendations for Tivoli. The food in all the places he recommended was excellent. The Palazzetto itself was lovely - very central and high quality with a designers eye throughout. We had two bedrooms, a lovely superior room and large Junior suite (that could have slept 3 in a separate room). Everything was done so tastefully and respectful of the old building. Breakfast was a bonus too with a full selection, excellent food and views over the old town. Can’t recommend highly enough

We were in Tivoli between New Years and Epiphany, so the Villa d'Este visiting hours didn't match with what was on the webpage. We were flexible and had time to rearrange our schedule. Because the hours were limited on the day we went, there was a long line for tickets, and we had to wait about 30 minutes. The Villa Georgiana was closed. We would recommend the Villa Adriana, accessible on the C.A.T. busses 4 and 4x leaving from the Giardini Garibaldi. You can buy tickets at the Tabachi across the way. These busses take you straight to the entrance. We had a great 4 course meal at the Taverna Quintilia.
Tivoli is a little village in the mountains. If you like scenery, this is a wonderful place to stay. In retrospect, if we had known more about traveling around Rome, we would have stayed in Tivoli for the duration of our visit as the train journey into Rome is pleasant and only takes an hour. After a very hectic time in Rome, Tivoli is a welcome retreat. Villa Gregoriana is a must-see!
The ruins of Hadrian’s palace/estate and Villa d’Este are the draw. But it’s best to stay a night or two in Tivoli to explore the great historic center (no cars) and restaurants. A much different feeling than Rome - tourists are not the majority - families are enjoying the evening stroll and their favorite restaurants too. Il Fornarina is a good spot for pizza or try it’s close local relative - pinsa.
It is a very interesting place, with lots to see and do. It's compact and easy to walk around with lots of lovely restaurants. It had a very friendly and "local" feel to it. .. I could see that locals enjoyed their home town as much as visitors.
The D,Este and Hadrians villa gardens and views were stunning. The 4 km. hike to the Hadrians villa through the olive grove was very nice, too. After Rome, it was very good to relax in nature and see a different Italy.
This is a part of Tivoli that I had not been aware of, apart from passing through in visiting Villa Adriana some time before. (Actually preferred this part, but the famous gardens are further up in the higher part of town.)
Tivoli
The location is perfect. A short walk to Villa d'este (Tivoli Gardens). The restaurant on the ground floor and terrace is used by locals, so it's a great place to observe local culture and even connect with locals in conversation. Our room, 203, (with the rectangular jacuzzi tub) looked out over the restaurant patio below and provided great ambiance to our room above. The hotel is very small, three rooms, and is definitely boutique. You'll feel special to stay here unless you need 24hr service.
Very comfortable house with all necessary facilities (washing machine, comfy warm duvet, hair dryer, cafetière, shampoo etc) The host was very kind and even came to meet me and my friend nearby to help our check in and locate the property with ease. The views from the patio were stunning!! It’s only a 10-15 minute walk from Tivoli station and from there you can get a direct train to the centre of Rome. Very convenient for a more quiet and affordable stay if you’re visiting the capital.
Tivoli
Tivoli Casa Belvedere has very good location. It is in old historical part of city, close to train station, bus station, tourist attractions, pubs and restaurants also trails to the surrounding hills from where you can observe whole Tivoli. Our apartment was very pleasant and clean place. And what is also very important - owner was really nice and helpful woman. Because of some circumstances there was any problem with leaving our luggage in Casa after check out time.
Tivoli
Exceptionally friendly, helpful, and communicative hosts who reached out during our stay to see if we needed anything. The apartment is charming, quiet, and in a lovely location overlooking a lively pedestrian street with many bars/restaurants nearby. Breakfast at the nearby Castorani Bar, a nice family run spot that added to our enjoyment, was much appreciated!
Tivoli
Host was friendly and tried to be helpful. Location is pretty good for exploring Tivoli and the train station is about a 15 minute walk away. So if you need an 'out of Rome' place to visit Rome, this could work for you. Place was nice and tidy. Everything was clean and it's a fairly quiet part of town. WiFi was pretty quick.
Tivoli
It was unique and in a lovely rural setting with excellent outside space and pool area. It was close to Tivoli with lots to do for all ages, but you will need a car. The design was well thought out and quirky and bohemian.
Tivoli
Such a charming place, beautiful views, spotless clean.. and the owner helped us with everything around town, he is a true Tivolian and this is his family's building for generations. Very authentic and easy stay.
