Vico Equense is a charming town reaching from the coast up into the hills. It has plenty of restaurants ( a pizza restaurant which serves metre long pizzas )and stores and the best gelato place! The train will take you anywhere or take a bus but for sure wander the quaint streets and alleyways. Easy to fall in love with Vico.

Vico Equense is a charming little town with not too many tourists - at least not when we were there in April. The people were generally friendly and could speak english. It is a short 10 minute train trip from Vico Equense to Sorrento and about half an hour to Pompei.

Vico Equense is a small quiet town that is full of friendly and kind locals. Me and my family were so pleased that we picked Vico Equense over Sorrento for our stay. You will like Vico Equense if you like having a morning run up to the hill or down to the beach. We were so lucky that we could join the triennial Good Friday Procession at Vico Equense, it was just an amazing experience. If you like gelato (who doesn't!?), do try the brioche con gelato at Gelateria Gabrielle, it is so nice and you can choose two flavours! For restaurants, we love eating at Ristorante al buco; we went there twice during our one-week stay! Vico Equense is just a beautiful place, it doesn't take you long to get to the busy Sorrento, Pompeii and Naples Central. So yes, for us, just perfect!

Use local bus services and trains, cheap and reliable. Roads are choc-a-bloc!
Fab port, hire a boat to take you around the coast of Sorrento and Almalfi or take a ferry. It’s a great place and a lot quieter than Sorrento etc.

Vico Equense was the perfect launch point to see other places on the Amalfi Coast. The city itself is small, but has numerous restaurants, a beautiful beach and a lovely viewpoint and likely other attractions that I did not encounter. I chose this destination as I sought an affordable apartment with a kitchen for our stay. I love eating out while traveling, but I also greatly enjoy the food markets and being able to purchase local food and wine and enjoying it with a view - especially at the end of long day of sightseeing. Vico Equense is definitely a walking city. It is also incredibly easy to catch the train and/or bus to get to other sites. I would definitely stay here again.

The town has lots of places to eat and we has a beautiful meal at a great price at Gran Caffè Zerilli
Hotel Mary was ideal hotel in the lovely Vico Equense. The location is excellent, a very pleasant 5 min walk to the centre of the town and 10 mins from the train station. The hotel is overlooking the beautiful vistas of the sea, surrounding hills and the marina below. The staff were excellent, always very helpful and friendly. We spent most days at the beach club which was stunning and the staff there were again to be commended. Hotel also has a beautiful Spa which I would highly recommend to help unwind and relax!
Our room was upgraded to one with a balcony. Nice view of the harbour and private beach
Beach looked nice but did not make use of it.
Breakfast was good, usual mix of hot food, fruit cereals, pastries & fruit. Nothing too fancy. Nice restaurant and good service.
The location of the hotel in Vico Equense was perfect. Not busy like Sorrento and only a cheap (€2.20) 11 m train ride away.
Served by a good Airport shuttle bus (Curreri Viaggi €10)
Seano harbour close by served by Ferries to Sorrento.
The property was absolutely gorgeous. Scenic views overlooking Mt Vesuvius and the Mediterranean as well as the town of Vico Equense. Flowers & other beautiful plants everywhere. The home was so charming with beautiful art on the walls and unique furniture that complemented the picturesque atmosphere. Elizabeth & Andrea were wonderful hosts who were so helpful and welcoming. The morning breakfast had everything you could dream of & more! The best figs of my life and the soft boiled egg was perfect.
All the vacations was perfect, the service on the hotel was perfect, all of them was very nice and available for every question we had. The location was perfect and there is a bus station near the hotel. Also there is a very good pizza next to the hotel and 2 min walk from a supermarket!
Also the breakfast was perfect!
Very recommend about this place!
We stay here because Positano was out of our budget. Vico Equense is a great little town and the hotel was excellent. Be aware that taking a taxi to Positano is over 100 euros. We took a train to Sorrento and then a ferry to Positano but it took a great amount of time from actually being in Positano. Getting to Vico Equense from Rome by train was easy.
Baldino Oasi Relais is located right across the street from Bikini Beach in Vico Equense. It’s 2 kms from the centre, has private on-site parking, friendly staff, spacious and clean room with great water pressure in the shower. Ocean view room was great. On-site restaurant (2nd floor) and main floor coffee and food area are convenient.
Vico equense is a gorgeous town with breath-taking views. The house was spacious, private and very comfortable.
The hosts were wonderful, picked us up and brought us to the house and even took us to buy groceries. For every question or problem, they were always available and so nice and caring. Would definitely come back!
The staff was WONDERFUL. I loved the hotel. I was driving a car & it was so nice to have free, convenient parking. I enjoyed the delicious self-serve breakfast & drove into sorrento for a tour in the morning. I had a BEAUTIFUL room with view of water & balcony. It felt like home, thanks for such a peaceful stay!
The breakfast was one of the best touring our 16 day trip around Italy. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff at the reception was really amazing. Parking/garage is just around the corner (just 10 eur per day). This hotel is a perfect base to explore the Amalfi coast or Pompeii and Vesuvio.
Great seclusive location, local market vendors selling their produce, a geeat eventi place locally, pool large and includes kiddie splash pool, rooms spacious, restraunt top tier. One of the best meals we have had in Italy in the last 2 years, great house red wine. Parking easy
Breakfast was best we have had in Italy, staff go out of their way to please, room spotless and modern, mini bar very good price, 6 minute walk down to town, pool and sun loungers great bonus, definitely recommend and will stay again if in this area. Underground garage parking.
great view, lovely hosts. breakfast was nice and they made a special effort to provide a savoury breakfast of eggs, meat and cheese which isn’t widely available in Italy. The rooms are large and comfy, and plenty of amenities available at all times. Air conditioning was great.
I loved Vico Equense. Le ancore is a small hotel with 7 rooms run exceptionally well and it has magnificent views of the marina.. The staff are so kind and genuinely look after the needs of the guests. Special mention to Giuilia and Dario. I look forward to a return visit.
Excellent small hotel away from the hectic city center! The room was very comfortable and well decorated, and the terrace with stunning view definitely added extra value to our stay! Breakfast was more than you would regularly expect in Italy.
loved our stay here! Alfonso and Bianca were the kindest and most attentive hosts. The view is stunning and our stay here felt more homely and comfortable than most hotels. Vico Equense is a gorgeous town and we preferred it over Sorrento.
The breakfast was incredible, home made and personal treatment from the owners :)
the staff is great and very welcoming, the pool is very nice with great view.
quite place and also free large parking which is rear in Italy😬
The hotel was amazing with 10/10 views, for anyone looking to go to Italy but wanting to relax this hotel is it! it’s so easy to get to the centre of sorrento with a train close by or even a short taxi trip!
We didn't have breakfast at the hotel. The location was great as we needed parking, there aren't a lot of properties in the area with parking so the location was perfect for us!
Beautiful, authentic Italian apartment with a nice view in a lovely location. Was a good spot to stay while visiting southern Italy. The hostess was very nice and helpful.
