We ended up paying a bit extra to upgrade our room. Large comfortable bed and pillows. Good spacious bathroom and shower with hot water. Use of a sitting area adjacent the room. We had a great Sri Lankan dinner with lots of different dishes as well. Good breakfast though spicy.

Incredible view from the terrace, we were given tea on arrival and the hosts were lovely! Very peaceful place. The food is delicious, absolutely recommend eat in the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner! There are lots of walks nearby and it’s very close to the train station.

Sewery/moldy smell in the top floor rooms of the Villa. No cleaning service on the second day because they forgot. No hot or warm water in the shower on the second day. After complaining they told us that they fix it but never did. Comparable to other properties in Sri Lanka they do not burn incense against mosquitos. The only good thing was the food and the chef and the restaurant service.
