Our meals were outstanding- so tasty and very well presented. The little extras of chocolate brownie in our room, and the sweet nibbles in the fridge were delicious.

Stayed at Ridgeton over Labour Weekend to attend a family wedding nearby. Exquisite property with beautiful grounds all maintained by Craig and Tammy. Beautifully clean appointed rooms with every amenity catered for including a jar of biscuits to have with tea and coffee and a chocolate on your pillow on arrival. There is a kitchen at the end of the hallway with plates, cutlery and glasses for guests to heat up food in a microwave if required. Breakfast is well catered for all tastes (no special diets) including a selection of cereals and fruit, plus pasteries, toast and fancy breads. Coffee or tea is also available and delivered by your hosts. If you are looking for a relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle of the city, Ridgeton is the place to stay with the tranquility and peace of the countryside. Would highly recommend.
Set in Tauranga, this private guest house features a private deck and an outdoor BBQ patio area opening out onto park grounds. It has 2 bedrooms and a third off the patio if required.

We had a lovely stay at Kauri Point Village. Everything was clean, quiet and comfortable. Hosts were very respectful of our privacy and accommodating. We especially loved sitting on the deck and looking at the beautiful garden, walking around the reserve and the very friendly and cute dog!

We only stayed one night visiting family but we liked what we saw. We have been to Katikati before and there is much to see and do. Great variety of shops - op shops, pottery, art gallery and of course the cycle way. Clean and tidy town.

We went to the dining room to have dinner and the place was packed out and we were going to have to wait about 30 minutes for a pizza and my brother decided not to eat at the and went back to his room and the staff got miffed with me and said they wanted the money for the meal and room. I said I just wanted to pay for the meal and we would pay for the room the next day. My waitress treated me like a 2nd class person, I felt uncomfortable around the lady. The next day we went back and ordered a pizza and it was lovely and the waitress was much nicer.

I liked how peaceful and spaced out the town was.
I liked how peaceful and spaced out the town was. Not a lot going on but activities includes, great deal for avocados, bookstore by Ti Tree, cute little bakery and cafe spots, pottery, bird gardens, train tracks/historic mine area, museum and murals. Very scenic with hidden restaurants like Falls Retreat - provided you have a booking beforehand as they usually have booked out tables. Waihi beach and the fish and chip store is a classic for a beach day - tip: order the food from the store first and then go in the water as wait times are 30-50mins due to busy-ness. Easy to get around town by car.

Katikati is a friendly town close to bush walks, beaches and Tauranga. There are some lovely places to stay and eat and the locals are helpful.
SH 2 is a pain and getting in to Tauranga can be frustrating.

Love the town, quiet and peaceful, the people are lovely and also respectful. Me and my partner travelled just around the corner of purple hens to a mate of mine as it was his birthday. So it was great to be close by, rather having to travel some more to get to him. I loved how flowery the town was because it gave a nice Aroma to the towns atmosphere. Unfortunately me and my partner only stayed for one night and had to head home but that one night was enough for me and her to come to the arrangement that we were going to go back there in the future as I said earlier, love the town, quiet and peaceful, the people are lovely and also respectful.
Love the thermal pools & hot tubs and the fact it was included in the price of camping
The camp spots next to the river near the toilets looked to be in a fantastic spot. We chose a cabin this time as the weather forecast wasn't looking good, but will definitely book again and camp
Katikati is a cute little town, not far to drive from Mount Maunganui either for a nice little weekend getaway
The facilities were very clean
Lots of things for kids
I liked all of the amenities in the room, and the price was really good. The shampoos and extras in the room were really amazing quality. I liked that it came with a smart tv as well. The hotel is in a great location and very easy to get into. The room was quiet enough, and it was super convenient that we got given swipe keys for after hours access.
This is a detached cottage roughly midway between Waihi, Waihi Beach and Katikati. Two large bedrooms, lounge containing kitchen area, bathroom, outside patio with lovely ocean view. Good facilities, the owners Noel & Janet were very friendly and helpful.
Great service, neat and clean facilities, beautiful surroundings, close enough to drive to either Waihi, Katikati or Tauranga. Pools and spas were lovely and the river makes this place a playground heaven for kids and the campground feels very tranquil.
Beautiful environment. Well-designed layout and lovely interior. Thoughtful touches. Delicious fresh eggs and quality bacon plus home-made bread for breakfast. Welcoming and friendly host. Very close proximity to Katikati.
Room upgrade was very much appreciated- due to not being fully booked the host swapped me to a quieter part of the complex. Great rooms and exceptionably clean Will definitely rebook if needing a bed in Katikati
We liked all that was presented from this motel. very good. It was so very handy to all the activities we were intending to do whilst staying at Katikati.
