Kijani Beach Villas, hotel in Bwejuu

Facing the beachfront, Kijani Beach Villas offers 1-star accommodations in Bwejuu and features an outdoor swimming pool, garden and shared lounge.

The breakfsast and the meals in general were very good. The rooms were quite nice. After we came back from our rides the rooms were always cleaned and tidied up with fresh towels and fresh bottles of water. I was overwhelmed by the friendliness of the staff there, specially the manager Aliya. She was always asking if everything was ok, if we needed something, etc. She helped us to organize all the tours (with very good suggestions and providing the driver). On our last day, our flight from Zanzibar to Dubai was cancelled due to poor weather conditions in Dubai. So, again, Aliya suggested and helped us to book a flight from Zanzibar to Dar Es Salaam and from there we were able to catch a plane to Dubai the next day.

Pili Pili Orient Beach Resort, hotel in Bwejuu

Located a 3-minute walk from Bwejuu Beach, Pili Pili Orient Beach Resort offers 5-star accommodations in Bwejuu and has a garden, a restaurant and a bar.

A stay too short, far too short. We went to the Orient for just one night and what we received here surprised us greatly. Great rooms, great service. Private pools, excellent restaurant. Location right on the ocean. Hussain the manager - very helpful. Very ! We will return here for sure. Unfortunately they don't have room for us now but we will be back in a few days. For those who book here, I would recommend a minimum of 2-3 nights. Do it right away !

Located in Bwejuu, only steps away from its private beach area, Mustapha' s Place provides accommodations with a restaurant, a bar and an outdoor swimming pool.

We stayed at Mustapha’s Place for nine nights with our 1 and 4 year old. The staff were incredible and so friendly. The pool and playground were so fun for our little ones. The food is really great and priced at a good value. I highly recommend this place for families looking to get off the beaten track and want a truly Zanzibar holiday. We will definitely come back!

Bwejuu is set on a beautiful beach north of Paje.

Bwejuu is set on a beautiful beach north of Paje. There’s a lot to do in the area (caves, forests , spice farms, Rock restaurant) and lots of bars and restaurants however you’ll need transportation to access them. We travelled around the entire island in an hire car which I would highly recommend, was great fun and easy to find our way around. I would say this area is more dirty and littered which is a shame as the rest of the country is really well kept.

We were a family of 10 people.

We were a family of 10 people. I did not expect to walk in sand all over the place. The foliage kept it a little cooler. The pool was fine and clean. I did not expect no air conditioning and trying to stay cool with a standing room fan. Food was Ok - nothing special. The drive from the airport after dark was dangerous. The walk to the beach was short. A few restaurants were open down the beach. We moved to another resort just down the street after one night and had clean rooms, air conditioning, on the beach, great meals. We kept our keys because they said we could not get a refund for the 2nd and 3rd nights we had reserved. They said we could come back and use the pool but did rent out our rooms from the 2nd & 3rd nights. It was more like a hostel but was not advertised well on Booking.com

Bwejuu is a small village with two shops where you can buy groceries and cosmetics. There is public transport there. In the vicinity is bigger village of Paje where there are more restaurants and shops. The beach is absolutely beautiful - white sand, wide a very long (excellent for walks and looking for shells), few people there. The best restaurants are Shanti café and Sahari. You can hire kite board there and teacher for kite boarding. 8 km from Bwejuu is beautiful place where you can watch sunset and enjoy big bar with excellent drinks and good music for dancing.

    Bwejuu has a great beach.

Bwejuu has a great beach. It is relatively quiet with only a few people working the beach to sell tours etc. We met some friendly locals and joined in some birthday celebrations, which was fun. Best be aware that there is a big tide so you can’t swim all the time. When the tide is in, the water is shallow and very warm. In the evenings there is a warm breeze that is refreshing and keeps the mosquitoes away.

    Bwejuu area is very disappointing.

Bwejuu area is very disappointing. It has a beach that cannot be enjoyed, far from everywhere, much more expensive than Nungwi and much lower quality. It is a complete mess. I don’t understand why Paje and Bwejuu area are so famous

Never have I ever stayed in such a beautiful hotel with such friendly staff. I felt truly welcome throughout my entire stay. Our bungalow was basically straight on the beach with a swimming pool and other facilities around the corner. While we very much enjoyed the food & drinks in the restaurant, our little son especially enjoyed playing in the kid's corner. Communication with the staff when arranging different trips was also very good. Truly great experience!

Due to the Italian owner the quality of food, beverage and even the solid rooms and bath equipment is exceptional for Zanzibar. The chef and all staff are well educated to serve customer oriented. It's a quit and relativly small hotel with relaxing and familiar atmosphere. Ideal for couples in honey moon. No tourism overloading.

Modern hotel with spacious rooms with balcony. Large very clean pool with plenty of loungers. Nice bar and roof top restaurant. Very secure gated property about 50mtr from the beach. Staff are lovely and attentive as we've come to appreciate in tanzania. Overall a very desirable place to stay but a couple of minor negatives.

We liked the place, the staff, the food, the beach, the view. The staff is very friendly and there is a very positive atmosphere. They are all the time making sure that you have all what you want or need. The location is also very good because it is very quiet but close enough to the busier Bwejuu beach.
