The continental breakfast was great, the orange juice was fresh and the coffee was robust and fresh.
The location was perfect, the hotel is right at the center of everything: the balboa pier, the sand is about 75 feet south of the hotel, the marina is also about 75 feet just north the hotel. You can Walk on the strains on either the north or the south. And running or biking can be enjoyed on the south strain between a beautiful Oceanview and lovely beach houses. Wow! What a wonderful place to visit or live.

Very nice and clean. The room was nice and cozy and everything worked. Not complaining by any means, some of the fixtures like the light switch covers were cracked and the toilet supply line and shut off should be replaced. “I’m in construction” lol again not complaining everything worked as it should and was just comfortable.

I liked the cleanness of the city. The weather was good.
I liked the cleanness of the city. The weather was good. A lot of things to do malls complex's with other things you can do. I believe I saw a movie theater, It's just so much to remember, but the get away is worth your stay. Remember, If you don't like walking try public transportation or rental car. All in all I walked plenty of miles, and saw so must. Airport is in the area John Wayne. And his stature looks just like him. Really it does. So much to see. My favorite spot was the airport, because it was clean and the employees look good in their uniforms. Might not sound important , but it is. Look good feel good. Getting around is not that bad, remember to make sure your direction are correct, text and map helps. Come prepared to have a good time. Here on work, next time with family and kids. Other then that very nice place to see.

The beach was great.
The beach was great. The surfers were there early doing their thing. The kids could get in the water and use the boogie boards. They had a good time. We had a nice bbq and enjoyed the patio. The house was nice. We would avoid that house because its party city for the local teens. The beach does not close for them. They holler and make noise until 3:00am or later.

I was in Newport for work and stayed here because the Travelodge I had reserved (because it was less expensive) turned out to be a crack house. For the money, this place is too old. The "bath towels" are the worst of the worst. For the money, you're right on the fringe. Clean, but not clean enough. Old shower, old shower head, old floor tile. But the King bed was surprisingly firm. Good fridge, micro and TV. Decent amount of space. The place has the vibe of a dump without being a dump. There's a need to upgrade the bathroom and showers.

I would never stay here again!!
I would never stay here again!! No elevator so we had to walk upstairs and even the metal railing was very awkward!! No help with directing to our room which was down the outside walkway in the rain .. the room was cold and all the windows were left open so it was damp too .. the noise coming from a compressor or something was like a helicopter over the room all night long so neither of us slept !! The bed was so hard we both got stiff and I call them hot spots were your hip bone aches !! I heard other rooms flushing toilets or running water 🚿!!! It was our worst ever experience renting w bookings !! I’m asking for a refund or credit towards my next stay at I hope a nice hotel!!

Very nice, my wife and I went there to relax and take a break from work. We walked on the boardwalk and looked in the shops (there is an ice cream shop that has handmade ice cream which is wonderful), we sat on the beach and listened to the waves. There is a Mexican restaurant across from the inn that is very good and there is an Italian restaurant called "Mama D's" that is easily the best Italian food. There is a tattoo shop "Newport tattoo" that does very good work, and of course, several surf shops. We also went up to the Disney district to get some souvenirs’ for people we work with and have lunch at "Tortilla Joes" which is very good.

Hotel is in a decent location, in a business park, close to amenities. We had early morning appointments and wanted to be close by. Bed was decent. Exterior looks very presentable and fits in with the area. We didn't sense that our car would be molested, and it wasn't. Although located near airport, apparently, there was no noise from planes, a surprise. Staff were pleasant and over-worked, doing the best they could with limited tools, probably.
The hotel was clean, there was a good breakfast(scrambled eggs, cheese omelettes, cinnamon rolls, oatmeal, sausage, pancakes) and the location was good. We went to see the Newport Beach Christmas boat parade that was about a two mile walk from the hotel. Fashion Island is also close by. The 12 noon check out time was nice.
We had an excellent stay at Renaissance Newport beach hotel. As a family of 3 persons, 2 adults and 1 child 4 years old, we enjoyed the spacious room, the comfy beds and the cleanliness. Staff was kind and attentive to our needs, always greeting us with a genuine smile on their faces. Would definitely stay again!
I love the rooftop and the general feel of the hotel. The designer did an amazing job decorating and management does a great job maintaining the property. I think we all know the special feature is the rooftop lounge. I love that they added food up there.
Absolutely loved that the room was perfect for the length of stay. It was also very accommodating for us to walk to the beach.. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to be in beautiful Newport Beach and be near the beach.
Location near the beach and pier was great.
Views from my room were great.
The room was a nice size.
That is all - the rest was not a good experience. I have been to Newport Beach many times but never stayed here. I will not stay here again.
The staff is super friendly. I really loved the look of the hotel--it's updated with a modern minimal design and splashes of color. Our room was standard fare, clean and well stocked with towels and toiletries. Overall a lovely hotel.
Modern rooms in a small boutique hotel made for a lovely 1 night stay. The receptionist was very helpful and the location was a short walk from Newport Beach (5 mins to the closest part).
The hotel is very big...room is clean..but when the cleaning service came to clean the room..not too clean....didnt fill up the sugar n tea...n the bed was not too clean...it waa ok
The location was excellent. The reserved parking spots were welcome in an area that was crowded with vehicles and parking meters.
The restaurant attached to the hotel was good.
Too much app stuff to even get a room booked. Our room was near a room that housed several Batteries with caution label on the outside of the door which was very concerning
