Nice location and very quiet. Nice outdoor area by river for relaxing. Very friendly staff. Room was clean but could use a little attention. Drywall in shower peeling a .little. The hot tub and sauana are private you just need to sigh up for your time slot. Breakfast was okay. Fresh fruit, bread products hot/cold cereal. Would have liked some yogurt. They were adding on a new breakfast area so that may have been the issue. Very nice stay.

We needed to chill and disengage from our lives a bit.
We needed to chill and disengage from our lives a bit. This place magically does that for us . It's our second time here in 10 years and I don't like to revisit places but this is our magical place. The Alley House was a great delight! The crime free atmosphere was refreshing. It is a destination to behold. There are few places like this to experience.

Liked: This is a place for outdoor lovers!
Liked: This is a place for outdoor lovers! Many options for walking/hiking. Abundant lakes in and near the city if you love to fish! Very nice walking trail that follows the river through town.
The hot springs are ok if you like that sort of thing, but are on the pricey side.
Not so great: Not many dining options (a lot of the restaurants seem to be closed on Sunday) and seem to lean toward brew pubs and burger joints.

Charming little town with a lot to offer.
Charming little town with a lot to offer. We loved hiking the short trek to Treasure falls, soaking in Hippy Dippy Hot Springs along the snowy river, walking the town, delicious breakfast at Pagosa Bakery and a delicious dinner at Riff Raff on the Rio.

Scenic, friendly town on the western slope.
Scenic, friendly town on the western slope. Nice downtown area, restaurants and shops available. A hot-air balloon was flying overhead one morning. Enjoyed Made in Colorado, and Pagosa Flowers. Took a scenic drive north of town to Piedra and enjoyed seeing the beginnings of Fall aspen colors. Traffic was often a challenge on US 160.
Small rustic cabins with a kitchenette that was stocked with nice dishes and cleaning products. Gas fireplace stove in the living area was amazing! The bathrooms were clean and well stocked with soft towels. The cabin was great for 2 people and was very cozy and comfortable. The property itself was beautiful with the river running behind it. The trees in front of the cabins added to the cozy cabin feel especially after it snowed! Great location and easy access to the highway.
Our room was clean, quiet and well appointed with a small frig, microwave oven and coffee maker. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast did not have an extensive array of offerings, but what they had (fruit, juices, cereal, pastries and coffee) was of good quality. There were good restaurants conveniently located nearby. There are hot springs located downtown. There is a hotel/bathhouse but also some springs street side that one can use free of charge.
Friendly staff
clean room

microwave of good quality especially compared to other 4 hotels we used this trip.
shower! omg that shower, proper hot water! good shower head, bathroom, best of the bunch, lighting stages a nice tough. first loo I've not blocked in 3 hotels.
Beds brilliant, we both slept fantastic. we'd stay here every night if we could! but we're off up the road, another day another town
The place was well-equipped kitchen and a washing machine and dryer which are big pluses for me. It is big enough for a family of 4-6 people having a master's bedroom and two extra bedrooms downstairs with two full baths and a powder room in the living area. Also, it is just across the road to the edge of the lake. In all, it is a great place to stay and relax in Pagosa Springs.
We had visited this property in January and enjoyed it a lot. Amazing spot to stay in Pagosa Springs with a Mountain View, 15 minutes for Walmart and 15 for Pagosa Springs Thermal Resort. Highly recommend to hike on the Piedra river trail - 20 mins from the property.
If you are visiting this area during winter - be prepared for heavy snowfalls by cleaning the driveway :)
Very nice room, good location, decent breakfast and not too far from the hot springs. I didn't use the hot tub or sauna, but it was nice to know they had them. Way better value than the previous hotel I had to stay at in Durango which had only twin beds, no breakfast and nothing more for 50% more money
We've stayed here several times, it's our go-to when booking a place in Pagosa. Cozy little cabins, nice property grounds with various activities available in the warmer months. We always book in winter and really enjoy the hot tub.
Hot spring pool and hot tub were wonderfully relaxing. Facilities are dated but clean and well kept. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Loved the location - was very easy to find and close to everything in Pagosa Springs.
The room was clean and the staff was really helpful and attentive. The kitchenette was a huge plus and there are a bunch of dining options within walking distance. Also, the hotel is a 5ish min walk to the hot springs.
Wonderful for families! Not a typical hotel “room.” It was so nice to have extra space and the king bed was very comfy and my kids slept so good on the pull out couch! The bathrooms were exceptionally clean.
Spending time at the (unlit) fire pit in the field in front of the hotel. Pet friendly. Coffee and danish for breakfast. Plenty of room to walk on the property. Close to the river and restaurants.
Best stay ever! Very comfortable bed and the bathroom was perfect. Hosts provided soap, shampoo, conditioner and hairdryer. So much better than any Pagosa hotel. Super clean too!
The hot springs bath and pool were in the hotel itself and it included in the hotel price itself along with bath towels. Car parking was provided free.Nice
