Didn't get to experience much except casinos due to the time of year we visited. A lot of places were closed. The town in a typical tourist town, can't really see much of the history the place holds.

My husband and I love Deadwood and have made more than 20 trips in the last 10 years. Lots to do in the area including visits to different museums, hiking, ghost tours, shopping, wine tasting, great food, and gambling. There is still a lot that we have not seen and done, which keeps us making the 10 hour drive 2 times a year.

We went after a snowfall and streets weren't cleaned.
We went after a snowfall and streets weren't cleaned. Some businesses and shops were closed and the sidewalks never got shoveled and were very slippery. Everyone that we met was friendly and fun. There was a lot to do and see, next time we'll stay longer. We'll be back as soon as we can, but in the fall rather than winter.

Lots of fun things to do and see.
Lots of fun things to do and see. Reenactments going on everyday on the main strip. The local saloons were great and filled with great atmosphere! We did not have enough time to do any tours as we were only there one night but we would come back to explore. We happened to walk into an outdoor concert that was awesome! It was very easy to get around on the local bus that travels by the hotels. We went to get some coffee in the morning at the Pumphouse which was filled with beautiful locally made glass art. It is worth a quick stop!

Staff were nice especially Broadmoor.
Staff were nice especially Broadmoor.
Hotel was not very clean.
You had to go into the CASINO for breakfast - not appropriate for children.
Everyone in the casino could see you in the swimming pool - creepy experience.
Signs up everywhere in case you stole something! Nothing worth stealing.
Lobby so small.
Hotel was a good walk outside of Deadwood.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The setting on the back patio is beautiful and provided much needed relaxation. This is a nice quiet hotel that provides gaming, a full bar, and beautiful scenery. The rooms were clean and we appreciated the refrigerator and microwave in the room. We enjoyed being so close to Deadwood and having a trolly to take us to downtown Deadwood. We preferred this as opposed to staying in among the crowds right in Deadwood. I would definitely stay here again!
Great location on the historic main street. The hotel as loads of intresting memorabilia . Guitars that have belonged to people like Mick Jagger, Sheryl Crow etc and even a piece of Elvis Presley hair. Plus loads of film memorabilia. Staff were very welcoming and spent some time telling us about what to see in Deadwood. The hotel also as a car park attached
- Spacious and comfy room
- Breakfast included
- Location: walking distance to Deadwood historic old town; within Casino/ restaurant complex (however no noise from downstairs), hence very convenient if you wanted to gamble/ eat out
- Main area (around reception; comfy chairs) and outside balcony with fireplace and nice mountain view
All of the staff was super friendly and helpful throughout the whole facility. The view from the hotel is beautiful, even just from the parking lot. They also have a trolley that takes you down to deadwood, so you don't have to drive you're own vehicle for $1 for every time you get on. Overall, we would definitely stay here again!
Very clean and quiet location that was within walking distance to all the downtown action. Sherry and Troy were awesome and helped us out with lots of things to do. The pizza at the restaurant was great. Just an awesome place to stay. I will definitely be staying there again when I come back to deadwood
Easy check in. The host actually gave us a cheaper price than I expected to pay. Bathroom was a little small but good for the price I paid. A trolley service came every 1/2 hour and picked us up to ride downtown.
Good price.for Deadwood, it's right at the end of the hotels, about a mile walk to downtown, which wasn't a problem for a good choice of restaurants and bars. There was a covered carpark.
A big room with a great view. The location is central to a lot of the attractions in downtown deadwood, right across from the outlaw square. The late night pizza is wonderful.
In the downtown strip. Old style hotel in keeping with the town. Great staff, clean, authentic period furniture, great terrace on 2nd floor overlooking the main drag.
The bed was more comfortable than expected.
Restaurant attached to hotel made our stay so much better as coffee and good breakfast was a few steps away.
