Quiet & very well maintained grounds, both secluded & safe. Such kind ladies at front desk/reception, & the rooms are quaint but clean, bathrooms are stocked with plenty of towels. Excellent property for a family or travelers on a budget like I was.
In the Big Cypress National Preserve, this South Florida, environmentally-friendly vacation park features Native American-built huts and small cottages with prairie views. Free Wi-Fi is provided.
Providing an outdoor swimming pool, Marina getaway on the water! provides accommodations in Naples. Both free Wifi and parking on-site are available at the apartment free of charge.
A reservation team is present in the hotel. We booked the 2 hour guided kayak tour where you will see gators from the kayak. Excellent for us. The person of the reservation team recommended to visit the Shark national park as well as some of the boardwalks. Excellent recommendations.
We also did the “loop road”, which runs though the cypress woods. You can see many gators from your car. Take 2-3 hours for this 24 miles road.

We enjoyed the grass and mangrove airboat rides with Captain Jacks but the best activity we enjoyed is riding along the 20 Mile loop trail and all the wonderful wildlife we saw there. Alligators were laying along the banks sunning and crossing the road in the early afternoon. There were many many beautiful birds sunning along the waterway as we drove along. It was best for wildlife viewing and taking pictures where you could literally almost reach out and touch the wildlife.
Loved seeing the huge gators and multiple bird varieties in their natural habitat. The boardwalks along the Tamiami were wonderful too. We enjoyed our stay and the local restaurants during our stay. We will try the swamp buggy tour the next time and the boat trip out to Thousand Islands where we were only there for 3 days total.

The “cabin” was actually a refurbished trailer.
The “cabin” was actually a refurbished trailer. I could feel the rotting floors underneath the vinyl flooring. The door jam and frame was loose due to rotted wood and about 1/4 inch gap was between the door and frame. Only one large cockroach was found upon waking up on the first morning.

Great for visiting the Everglades and doing some tours.
Great for visiting the Everglades and doing some tours. There is a small selection of restaurants and I would suggest that you check to see if they accept cards when you arrive to avoid any issues as the internet connections are not always great.
We found everybody friendly and helpful and would go back to visit again to do some more tours and to relax as it is really peaceful

Quaint town, quiet when we were there.
Quaint town, quiet when we were there. Lots of options for guided tours of Everglades. Everglades Area Tours are a great company to go with.
Other options include airboats and parks to enjoy nature.
If you have kayaks or a boat, the sky's the limit in terms of exploration.
Plenty places to eat out for all budgets. Island Cafe is good.

The staff were helpful when we discussed the outside light shining into our bedroom at night. This was quickly sorted out.
The rooms were spacious and contained a kitchenette. We had 2 bedrooms, so excellent for families.
Staff helped advise on where to eat, which ended up being a nice restaurant option. Ivey House was in a good location for the activities in Everglade City.
It has a small but insect proof pool area.
Most splendidly situated, from the terasse a superb view over lake and mangrove swamp. Excellent point of departure for visiting the wild nature of the Everglades. And no so far away from the Seminole tribe AH-TAH-THI-KI Museum. And closer, the historical Smallwood Store in Chokoloskee is worth visiting, with museum, possibilities for boat trips as well as fresh oysters and sea food.
it was so nice to sit by the water. the screened in porch was lovely. so comfortable and tidy. We can’t say enough about it. The cabin was modern, spacious, clean, nicely decorated and the bed was so comfy! What a perfect little hidden gem. Every convenience was within a mile, There was a grocery store, lots of places nearby for airboat tours, fishing gear, and good food!
The hotel was located in the area that we wanted to visit. It was clean, well presented, and our room had all the facilities that we needed.Bed was very comfortable, ensuring good nights sleep for the two nights that we stayed there.
The staff that we dealt with were polite and helpful, and were a pleasure to deal with.
No complaints whatsoever.
A lot of Mosquitos in the area. (It is not their fault)
They don’t offer breakfast in the menu. I’m the menu they don’t have many options, but you can use the microwave into the room.
You must to go outside for look food or the near places and in the Everglades town all is closed 9:00 pm.
The bar es excellent and the workers there are so nice.
The hotel has a central enclosed courtyard that had a pool, live plants, and seating. Our group enjoyed clustering in that area for a chat with each other and some other guests in the hotel. It is a very small hotel and is quiet and comfortable. It did not have any food service but there is a very good cafe just down the street.
Massive room which had obviously just been refurbished. Meticulously clean and very comfortable enormous bed!
Thought we were booking a small Motel room and thought it was overpriced for what we were going to get. Not at all but would rather have had smaller room and paid less. Best breakfast in US in next door Island Inn.
Sadly Capt table was being refurbished - there was no check in on site - reception area all locked up with builders gear everywhere and at the room we had no electricity so the hotel company kindly moved us to Ivy hotel which was good and clean and a far better place to stay …
The place was very well organized, pretty big, everything on one single floor. They have a great net EVERYWHERE so mosquitos were not, anyware inside the hotel. Even the swimming pool was open ceiling but with net. The staff was super friendly, the room big and confortable.
Beautiful setting, lovely hotel, very friendly staff. Rooms were clean, fresh, and comfortable. We had a lovely dinner the night we stayed and joined the locals in the bar afterwards and had a brilliant night. Everyone so welcoming and friendly.
we got a two bedroom suite with full kitchen. a perfect place for basecamp for a fishing trip. newly remodeled since hurricane ian. great location next to the best diner in everglades city.
The staff at Ivy House were extremely helpful. they stored our luggage for us for 5 days while we were out kayaking even though we were not staying in Everglades city on our return.
Fully renovated rooms. Spacious, comfortable and really clean. The location is good at the entry of Everglades City with access to restaurants and a grocery store.
location was very nice, we could see the river from our balcony. Everglades City is a great place to stay while exploring the more remote areas nearby.
