Walk to everything Chicago has to offer- downtown, beach, park, restaurants, bars; bring family or friends to this duplex on a quiet neighborhood street. Parking, back yard, laundry on premises, pets welcome- what else can you possibly need? Chicago is full of contrasts, it is one of the many things we love about this city. You can drive down busy streets full of life and with one turn be in a quiet neighborhood lined with trees and typical Old Town homes greeting you with flowers on the porches. This home is one of them. You enter into a thoughtfully arranged living that flows into dining room as one open floor plan. Kitchen has granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. There is a stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave and all the essentials. From the kitchen you enter our favorite place in the house- the sun room and on to a backyard with more seating. Main level also has a powder room. Upstairs has 2 large bedrooms with in-suite bathrooms. Third cozy bedroom on the same floor. House has washer, dryer, central heat and air. There is a detached residential garage, you will have use of one parking space in it. Luggage storage and extended free parking upon request.

Neighborhood info

The house is in east Old Town- best neighborhood in Chicago for both families or if you are looking to have fun. While the street itself is very quiet, tree lined and barely has cars passing by, as soon as you turn the corner, you are in the center of everything! Wells street restaurants and bars are steps away. Lincoln Park with the zoo, farm, pond, open spaces and farmers market is a 7-10 min. walk. North avenue beach is the same distance. It is perfect for walks, picnics, boat rides or good old fun in the sand. The beaches are free to the public and have breathtaking city views. Grocery shopping is made easy, with Plum Market and Jewel close by. Nearby coffee shops include a 24 hour Starbucks and La Fournette. There are 103 restaurants within a 15 minute walk including some of Chicago's top restaurants such as Kamehachi and Topo Gigio. Bars and lounges are abundant on Wells and are all 1-2 minute walk. Shopping in Old Town is a unique experience; the majority of shops in this neighborhood are boutiques rather than well-known chain stores. The world renown Second City 2 blocks away. Oak street and beginning of Michigan ave is about 20 min walk. Public transportation is abundant.
