We had a wonderful stay at the Radisson Collection Hotel, Waterfront Cape Town during our honeymoon from August 2–6, 2025. The hotel went above and beyond with thoughtful honeymoon preparations that made our experience truly special. The location was perfect—conveniently close to the V&A Waterfront with beautiful views. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and always ready to help. We highly appreciate the warm hospitality and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cape Town.

FAQs about hotels in Cape Town

Cool, Colorful Cape

Between mountains and beaches, the 2nd largest city in South Africa mixes history, resilient modernity, and a typical laidback African character. From the top of Table Mountain to the colourful Bo Kaap quarter, and from the Victoria & Albert Waterfront to the modern business district, Cape Town blends multicultural influences and beautiful nature.

Known as Kaapstad in Afrikaans, its sunny weather and mild temperatures make it a perfect place to enjoy the large number of beaches that surround it. From Sunset Beach to Hout Bay, and from Simon’s Town to Gordon Bay, this city offers variety that suits all tastes. Whale and dolphin watching is a popular activity in False Bay.

Located on the Cape of Good Hope, the city was founded in 1652 by a Dutch trading company as a way-station for ships travelling to the East Indies. With the settlement process, all sorts of foreign plants were introduced, including the grapes in the famous Cape Winelands District, just outside of Cape Town.

Cape Town’s history does have some darker periods, and some of its memorable places from this time deserve to be visited: Robben Island jail, the City Hall from which Nelson Mandela gave his first public speech, and the statues of the 4 South African Nobel Peace Prize winners on the V&A Waterfront.

Loved the scenic view from Table Mountain, I rode the cable car up bc I had fallen off the cool runnings toboggan ride bc I leaned to hard (lol) sprained my ankle so no hiking for me this round, although I look forward to seeing the beautiful waterfalls soon. The food was also very very good. Ubers are very affordable and easy to use. I highly suggest using an Uber. I ate at Ashley’s the food was very good. Also the retired owner of Ulla’s Pizza cooked for me it was very very delicious sorry guys unless you look him up and request private service he is unavailable. N1 city was very nice to shop at. I suggest the Cool Runnings ride just don’t act like your trying out for a part of the team and you will do fine. Walking the beach was nice but keep in mind I was there in the heart of winter so it rained a bit while I was there. The lions were awesome too!!!!

Great city, the way it is situated it is rightfully considered as one of the most beautiful of the world. Unfortunately, the shopping area around Green Market has deteriorated significantly. Probably in part an aftermath of the 2020-22 travel restrictions, plus the competition of online and malls. But the V&A Wharf and all the area around is just great. Plus the panoramic routes all around the Cape are simply amazing

Steeped in history embraced by Table Mountain, Lions Head...

Steeped in history embraced by Table Mountain, Lions Head Signal Hill and the 12 apostles, 2 oceans to choose to swim in, laced with pearly white beaches and craggy coastline. World famous restaurants and accommodations, choice of transportation, Uber, bus, trains, electric cycles, bicycles. Cable car to the top of the iconic Table Mountain, and walk down through world famous Kirstenbosch Gardens. Take the day to visit wine farms a mere hour out of town on well maintained motorways. December to May are the best times to visit for the sun. What's not to like?

People warned us not to go out at night but we did and felt safe doing so, there an element of common sense needed when travalling but we felt safe at all times and were always greeted with a smile or people asking if we were ok or needed any help. The resturants we went to were amazing, the food was outstanding and more importantly the value for money spent was incredible! If you're thinking about going, do think book it! Well worth a visit and we will be going again in the not to distant furture!

SUCH a wonderful, fun, amazing town with rich history!

SUCH a wonderful, fun, amazing town with rich history! I would HIGHLY suggest the tours - wine tour and city/country tour (including Cape Hope). Uber was FAST and CHEAP! The foods were DELICIOUS!! The weather was a bit tricky - windy, rainy, cold, but we still got out and had a MARVELOUS time!! Be careful on the wine tour - I ended up buying WAAY more bottles than I thought!

The apartment had everything we needed and was close to Camps Bay so a good general location. The staff at Blue Views (South Beach hotel) were very good - friendly and helpful. Frankshoek, Cape Town V&A Waterfront excellent. Camps Bay and Clifton beaches good but busy. Helicopter tour and Horse riding on the amazing Noordhoek Beach were the highlights. Food was excellent in the many restaurants we visited (Marble, Reubens, Harry's Bar, Bovine, Paranga, The Bungalow).

We had a great stay at Home Suites, the rooms are comfortable and spacious and beautifully clean. The upstairs bar/cafe is a lovely spot to enjoy views of Sea Point. The staff were so friendly and everything is within easy reach to explore Cape Town. The hotel is up a steep hill from the main promenade (if planning to walk)

I enjoyed staying at this hotel. It's close to the Waterfront, just two blocks from the seaside, a great area for walking. The staff was very hospitable. I especially appreciated the tips from Domingos — they were very helpful during my visit to Cape Town and will be useful for future trips as well.

The Hotel isn’t at the VA waterfront and is located on a main intersection in Cape Town and isn’t easy to navigate to using your own vehicle. Decor is tired and drab and needs an update Kitchen and breakfast staff friendly but the bar staff were surly and unwelcoming
