We loved the breakfast. Since it was reserved, we were able to enjoy a peaceful breakfast and the food on the menu was delicious. We appreciated the snack time and 24h coffee/tea station.

Real, real classy hotel and you can easily see that at the front entrance where you're immediately greeted by valet in long stylish black coat. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Entire hotel exudes warmth in low-key luxury decor and definitely worth revisits over and over again if you're looking for a good holiday retreat. Rated No. 1 hotel in Canada in 2021 Visit the Pub if you can and try getting a table by the window with views to the hotel spa / open sea. Food is actually quite good, much exceeded our anticipation.

I liked the age of it and the appropriate furnishings, especially in the lounge area. Whatever upgrading has been necessary has been done in such a way as to retain all its original charm. I also love the neighborhood with its well-restored Victorian houses.

Sadly, this park is looking more & more rundown & uncared-for. The overgrown grass make it feel less safe & not as willing to stop & park & get out to browse through the park. So very very disappointing!!!

Great location near Beacon hill park and restaurants and grocery store (Thrifty’s) not far away from the hotel. Good staff and reliable hotel - stayed a few times. Booked a king suite with the Murphy bed and the kitchenette is great to have. Good value.

We liked the personal welcome and tour of an historic home. Our Verdandah room was comfortable and cozy. We also appreciated the unexpected touches, such as wine/fruit/pastries in the lounge after our arrival. The location was very convenient to walk to Beacon Hill Park, the beach and dinner. Breakfast was tasty, and we enjoyed visiting with other guests.

Its location near Beacon Hill park, the Parliament Buildings and the Empress, the decor, the historical nature of the building. There were suggestions written for different restaurants. We really enjoyed breakfast at Floyd’s Diner.

The location is supreme, and walkable to Fisherman's Wharf, excellent restaurants, Beacon Hill Park, and the impressive Parliament building. The elevator was broken in the hotel, but we didn't mind as they upgraded our room, plus brought us a toothbrush that we had forgotten. We truly enjoyed our stay in the rooms.

The staff was super friendly, in particular the concierge who greeted us and gave dinner recommendations. We were on the 15th floor of the hotel facing south and had great views of the ocean and sunset. Parking was very easy (I think it was $20 Canadian for overnight which was reasonable) and access to the car was quick in case you needed to grab a few more things. A very comfortable stay. Also, a quick walk from Beacon Hill Park which is just so lovely to stroll through.
