A beautiful hotel with friendly and helpful staff. the room was well decorated with a very comfortable easy chair with footstool by the windows, plenty of outlets and good lighting. very comfortable bed with cozy woolen rug next to it and good shower. Initially seemed a bit strange having shower (etched glass walls) essentially in the middle of the room but was fine and the bathroom area was spacious and the underfloor heating is wonderful. Molton Brown products are always a plus! The minibar was well stocked and good to have kettle as well as Nespresso machine (and real milk). staff very prompt in replying to requests and providing extra coffee capsules and tea. Norca restaurant was excellent, we had a wonderful dinner our first night with lovely servers, delicious cocktails, wine (good selection) and food (elk chaussons were melt-in-the mouth yummy) …. but not cheap!

It was our second stay in the Sheraton at Albert Street in Ottawa. Last year we were there with our daughter and granddaughter this year with our son and his spouse. We like that the hotel is close to the city center, Byward Market and in walking distance to all the attractions in Ottawa.

The location is central, walking distance from all the attractions. The rooms are very chic and very clean. Despite the problem with booking.com reservation, the hotel fix our problem and accomodate us. The staff is incredibly friendly and makes you feel that you go to a friend, not to a hotel. Excellent location. The hotel and room were clean and the beds were comfortable! The staff were absolutely fantastic - very friendly and accommodating! I am from Canada originally and I’ve noticed things getting really expensive in Ottawa. This hotel was great value for money! I have already recommended the hotel to other friends!

    The parliament was closed for massive maintenance works, and could not be visited. A virtual visit was proposed (free of charge, admittedly), but it was only so-so. Any future visitors should check that the real parliament has been reopened

    It truly is majestic as the seat for a national government. We should all be very proud. On this visit, we simply viewed its majesty from different directions, however, in last visits the tour of the buildings is daunting.

    We loved the Sonder Rideau. It was a ten minute walk to Parliament Hill and only a few minutes more to Byward Market. The apartment is huge and was so clean. Nice finishes. Very modern and the bed was so comfortable with tons of pillows! We couldn’t believe how well stocked it was with a fully functioning kitchen with yummy coffee, living room to relax and massive washroom and bathroom. The staff in the lobby were always happy, friendly and super helpful.

    Location was perfect! Very close to Parliament Hill and other Ottawa attractions. Loved that they are pet friendly hotel and I could stay with my dog. There is a Tim Hortons right on the lobby and that perfect since we had a rainy morning and couldn’t go outside but we could get some coffee and food in the meantime.

    The bed was extremely comfortable. The shower was nice, the coffee in the room was great, too. The room was a bit small, as we had expected but we didn’t spend much time there except to sleep. The location was perfect. Walking distance to Spark St, Parliament Hill and the ByWard Market. It was quite quiet during the night, as well. The other property we had considered was right in the Market area and we were happy we chose a more quiet hotel. Would definitely recommend.
