Were very impressed at how accommodating the staff at the hotel were toward us...room change because of roadworks, late checkout due to a late flight. The staff were very helpful. We loved the hotel, it was in the very heart of the city, everything was easily accessible. The view from our room was amazing :))

Took several tours, the food walking tour was a great hit as was Mt. Titilis. We also did the Rhine waterfalls and Mt. Pilatus. Both Titilis and Pilatus stopped in Lucerne, however, not enough (1 hour) time to do or see anything. Absolutely love Switzerland! Incredibly clean, beautiful, wonderful water and nice people! Now moving on to Lake Thur and more adventures!

It's a high end city with expensive hotels and many fine dining options.
Quite a few museums and churches to visit. Plenty of shops and restaurants along the lake Zurich. Boats trips are fun. Public transport is very very good in the city. The touristy center is very walkable nad close to the main train/bus stops. If you buy a Zurich Card you have free/discounted access to most city attractions along with unlimited rides with trains/tram/bus/cable car. Eating out is extremely costly. An average spend per person would be 30-40 Euros/meal. Nearby attractions include day trips to Grindelwald, Interlaken, Mount Titlis, Lucerne, Rhine falls etc.

The weather in Switzerland is unpredictable.
The weather in Switzerland is unpredictable. My whole stay was raining most of the time. The only day that the sun shone was when I left for airport. lol If you want to visit in the summer and do the summer activities like Mt. Pilatus tour, I suggest to come in July-sept where the weather is much nicer. It is well known that Switzerland is one of the most expensive country so as a woman who likes to eat and trying as best as I could to save my pocket money, I recommend the food in Coop. They have tons of varieties of food like salads, cold and hot meal, breads and drinks. As it is my first solo travel, it is surprisingly so easy for me to navigate the city. Zurich is walkable or you could take the tram to tour around the city. Get the boat ride if you want a peaceful ride for town hopping . And lastly, I love the calm vibes of the city. I love that the people are not always in a rush. They sit outside to read a book or to eat or just people watch. and majority of the Swiss people are generally nice.

Tell everyone not to book with Tripadvisor.
Tell everyone not to book with Tripadvisor. It was a total rip off. We booked with them for tour at Lindt factory for 1 o’clock.. 240 dollars. We were picked up as promised at one. We arrived there and were told they would not pick us up. When we came inside we were told that the tour was at 11. We were informed that this has happened more often with Tripadvisor. And to top it off it would have only cost us at the factory 34 francs for us both. What a terrible terribly experience. Factory was nice

In my Switzerland trip, I spent 2 days in Zurich, one was a holiday and another one on Sunday. The place was deserted as in no shops open or any supermarkets. In my opinion, it will be better to stay somewhere else in Switzerland like luzern, lauterbrennen and explore the countryside

Great great location. Most of the great sites were only a few minutes walk away. Very convenient to reach the hotel from the airport. Take a train, get off at main station (Zurich HB) and the hotel is only 5 minutes walk away. Tram station was only 1 minutes walk away. Great variety of nearby restaurants and coffee shops.
Very friendly staff. Easy check in and check out. Efficient house keeping services.
Close to Zurich city and the airport, this hotel was a pleasant surprise. Staff was really friendly and helpful, parking was spacious and covered, room was good size and came with aircon, euro-socket on the desk for laptops, as well was water kettle. Comfortable, with all you need essentials. Breakfast was also good.
The hotel was in very close walking distance to the train station in Zurich. I left my bags in the morning and went to the Lindt factory for my chocolate tour and then took the train easily to the airport. Perfect location, clean room, great shower, everything I needed in a simple room.
For a single traveler, this hotel was very comfortable. Also, there is a good breakfast, and the hotel is conveniently located on the number 14 tram line, allowing easy access to Zurich HB train station and the airport.
Nice hotel in the city center, strongly recommended for this who need a comfortable, clean hotel with a rich breakfast in downtown Zurich. Everything is essential, but everything you need for a short term stay is there.
