Best hotel if you want to enjoy peace and a stunning view. After skiing is done, only the hotel guests remain, so the atmosphere is very calm and quiet. You can take a small walk in the evening, look at the stars, and enjoy the full Matterhorn view almost all to yourself. It’s also amazing to start your day already on the slopes. I really liked the hotel, for the price, and considering that it is located up in the mountains in the middle of nowhere, it is truly excellent. The dinner was very tasty with huge portions, and I liked that you could choose from a few different options. Compared to dinner, the breakfast selection is not as extensive, but it is absolutely fine. The staff was very kind and welcoming.

Hotel Matthiol embodies the essence of true hospitality! We felt at ease, taken care of, well regarded and helped with anything we needed! Amazing sense of details, high quality materials, design and equipments. Everything very clean, beautiful and functional. We truly enjoyed every corner of this property.. And the sauna in the room??!! Wow.. Little private fondue houses with the most amazing generous fondue!! Also appreciated the location that's on the more far end but thus gives spaciousness around, total silence and peaceful vibe. Town easily accessible by bus or walk, so no issue at all.. Found what I was looking for a beautiful holiday and more!! Thank you!!

The breakfast started at 7:00. It’s nice and healthy to eat. The bed is OK I slept very well. The room is clean and quiet. The staff is nice and welcoming.

Everything was perfect, from check-in to check-out. No stress, no fuss. They assisted us with the transport from our car to the Zermatt car-free zone. Had hot tea upon arrival from reception. The reception team were so friendly. They also helped me with lunch and dinner reservations. The rooms were very comfortable and clean - we enjoyed the extra details added such as the bed warmers and fruit in our room. The location was perfect for us, within walking distance to all main attractions. Breakfast was great - really good selection and staff was attentive.

Everything was perfect: the room (very comfortable beds), the hotel facilities and spa with the pool and saunas, the healthy breakfast choices, the cleanness, the location (not on the main and busy street of the village but still quite close to ski lifts, restaurants, etc). The service was impeccable and friendly. The hotel owners and workers take care of their hotel with love and very attentive to their guests needs. We had my husband’s birthday during our stay and they arranged a nice surprise birthday cake for him. If possible, go also for the room with the Matterhorn view- to see its majestic peak with sun shining over it in front of your balcony is really worth of a extra money! If we go to Zermatt again, this hotel would be my preferred place to stay in.

It was good location and had a good view from the window. It was small but clean and had everything we needed.

Zarema itself is a great place to stay. The breakfast is simple, but tasty.

The location is perfect, not far from train station and supermarket. Tiny but gorgeous room, suitable for 2 of us, Nice balcony and view of Matterhorn. Nice bed and clean room. I will recommend all friends and family.

Its incredible! Exactly like on photos. It’s dated but you can feel like staying in alps refugio. View of Matterhorn from balcony is amazing. I hope it will not be change and that I’ll be able to return to it.

Hotel Bahnhof was a very nice surprise. We got a nice sized room with a balcony and amazing views of the matterhorn! You also get a shared fully equipped kitchen where you can make your own meals! Would 100% recommend this place. Also it’s right at the Monte Rosa Tour so it was conveniently on our path!

Absolutely lovely! Hotel is right on the ski track, high into the mountain. The people there are extremely friendly. They do karaoke and sing pretty good. Amazing food, amazing view. Quiet rooms, suitable for families with small skiers.

The location. Easy to ski out but did need the bus to ski back. Large comfortable room. Hearty breakfasts, very personable staff, excellent spa space.

I like the location; it is very convenient, near the bus stop and the cable car! The free cakes are delicious 🤤
