Fleece always a great place to stay, only issue, as hotel has only been reopened for a few months, arrived on Sunday only to find restaurant and bar not open in evening, besides that lovely stay, and staff as usual really great

Pub was good food, nice property, they warned us of a wedding and noise till midnight. That was ok, we accepted it

This castle is located in a quiet, remote area—yet still not far from the town center of Carlisle—and has lovely grounds to explore. The interior is grand, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. It’s a very peaceful place.

Located in the village of Armathwaite with its views of Cumbria Pennine fells and the River Eden, The Dukes Head is a traditional country Inn where guests can enjoy a drink and overnight stay.
