Fleece always a great place to stay, only issue, as hotel has only been reopened for a few months, arrived on Sunday only to find restaurant and bar not open in evening, besides that lovely stay, and staff as usual really great

This castle is located in a quiet, remote area—yet still not far from the town center of Carlisle—and has lovely grounds to explore. The interior is grand, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. It’s a very peaceful place.
