Among the pretentious and pricey brand name stores are a few pleasant cafes and restaurants, from which one can watch stylishly dressed Italians, and frumpy foreigners traipse along without fear of traffic.

Horrible to get through with psychotic drivers and suicide jockeys on motorcycles and scooters. Pedestrians tended to cluster in the middle of the street blocking traffic. Perhaps in April, this city would be a better place to visit but in August, it is severely hot and dangerous to attempt to drive anywhere.

Top tourist hangout! Lots of similar restaurants offering similar priced meals. Overpriced clothing and jewelry shops. Beautiful location and sights though. The town is really nice without the crowds. The people were pretty friendly. The euros flow like water.

The location is fantastic. We were right on the Main Street Corso Umberto I ( right on top of dolce and Gabbana bar ) We booked 4 nights in this beautiful boutique hotel and at our arrival mimma the property manager upgraded us free of charge with a room with balcony and an spectacular sea view. The hotel opened 1 month ago and they did an amazing renovation job. The hotel is very clean and everything has been chosen with taste. The personal staff is very friendly. We cannot wait to come back.

The owners are so welcoming, hospitable, very kind and so helpful . Apartment is walking distance to Corso Umberto, the famous Bam Bar just around the corner and the cable car (Funivia) to take you to Mazzaro/Isola Bella . Sometimes around 10pm you hear opera singers singing a few ballads. You can sit on the balcony and enjoy the serenade !

Mario is an amazing host. We rented both apartments and each was perfect. Plenty of sleeping space and full kitchens. Mario was always available when we had a question or issue. Property is in a great location. Very close to restaurants, grocery store and the start of the Corso Umberto.

Comfortable, clean, hospitable. Excellent, ample, various breakfast selection. Surrounded by beautiful paintings, ceramics, terracotta and ironwork in all the public areas- all work created by one man, Giuseppe Cuscona, the artisan who owned the hotel years ago. Location high above the main avenue, Corso Umberto, with beautiful views.

A beautiful old building, apparently renovated both inside and outside not long ago (I may be wrong), retaining its original style. The staff is friendly, helpful and professional. It is located very close to many restaurants and Porta Catania and Corso Umberto. There is a private garage at the hotel, which is a big plus in Taormina.

An amazing luxury apartment overlooking Corso Umberto just feet from the Porta Catania. Incredibly well-designed with everything that one would need. Despite its central location, street noise was at a minimum due to very thick windows. Antonella was a fantastic host and provided us with lots of local (and personalized) recommendations. Giuseppe owns a shop across the street which happens to be the best wine store in all of Taormina -- check out his selection of incredibly hard to find Frank Cornelissen wines!
