Hotels near Okazaki Shrine, Kyoto

Excellent value for the price Excellent for shomrei mitzvot on shabbat Large rooms Excellent staff

Service, room, Japanese breakfast and dinner were excellent. My wife mentioned that it was my birthday and I was left a very sweet message in my room. We purposely chose this location to be away from the more busy areas of Kyoto. Logistically, it worked perfect. There is a grocery store across the street. Taxis were easy and convenient and we were also able to walk to the Philosopher’s Path and other areas easily.

We booked junior suite (King), we are super happy. The price is high for this room type, but it is super comfy, very clean and very spacious. Breakfast is excellent and all the staffs are one of the best staffs in Japan (based on what we have experienced). Location is great, near many historical sites e.g. Nanzenji and Eikando temples (7 min walking distance). We will definitely will come back to this hotel and Kyoto again 🥰.

Spacious, super clean and upscale room in affordable price. Staff and drivers are very helpful and friendly. The hotel is in a quieter area amidst of several modern art museums but easy to access to other places as shuttle bus to and from Kyoto station is provided / bus stops are in walking distance. Spa and massage treatment was so relaxing. I wish to come back to Kyoto and definitely choose to stay in this hotel again.

I stay in a King room that is super spacious. Staffs are very friendly. The hotel is located in a quite area where local peole live. It is just 15min walk to Gion and Rohm theatre. I strongly recommend this hotel.

this is a beautiful location. close to many temples, the main streets, the river, and the Nishiki market....truly a heavenly spot...parks, ponds, mountainside..... the hotel itself offers Japanese-style rooms as well as Western...we opted for the Japanese-type room and it was lovely. The option to attend services in the early morning is wonderful. The staff are wonderful, helpful, and friendly. There is an onsite restaurant, gift store, food trucks, and cafe....truly a one of a one-of-a-kind place...so so happy to have been at a conference that was held there and so was introduced to this magical place

This is a high quality hotel. It is a bit more expensive, but you pay for what you get. It was definitely exceptional and we strongly recommend it if you are willing to pay for it. The personnel at the reception was great. They have coffee free of charge. Breakfast was really good: a buffet with both Japanese and continental food. Location is excellent too, a 10 minute walk from Gion or Pontocho, or less, and next to the metro station and bus stops. The room is very nice, not very big, but very comfy bed and very nice and quite spacious bathroom.

It is well located, clean, close to restaurants and temples. I really enjoyed our stay there.

It is perfect, I would only like to have stayed longer

Nishimura-san and Yuki-san are a delightful couple, great to ralk with (Nishimura-san dpes well with English, Yuki-San is learning) and Nishimura-san gave us very helpful map and directions to the house as well as alternate routes with prices. In the house, there were many helpful explanations on how to use various appliances with pictures, making the stay easy. What impresses me the most was when we were approaching the house, Nishimura-san was outside waiting to show where it was and even carried our bags up to the second floor. The stay couldn't have better and I only regret we couldn't book an extra day

Large room, Good location and Clean bathroom.

Great location, if you don’t mind walking you can reach most of the attractions and central areas by foot. Close to subway station.

Great location : close to many shrines we wanted to see, also close to metro station where you can easily reach to kyoto main station. Staff was great, room is clean, all additional items such as pyjamas, slippers, brush etc were very nice

After staying at this wonderful hotel, no other hotel will ever satisfy me again. The hotel staff was very nice. They always greeted us, and their English is very good. When it was snowing, they gave us towels when we entered to dry off, which is very thoughtful. I felt at ease in this hotel, becuase the staff were always there to help and kept everything exceptionally clean. I hope the staff know that their hard work is appreciated. The hotel is charming and in the perfect area of Kyoto, which is beautiful but not too touristy and not noisy. I love that from the first floor, there is a view of the stream outside. It is easy to sleep because there is no noise at night. The hotel's breakfast and happy hour snacks are delicious, and they use local ingredients and foods. The beds are comfortable, and the provided toiletries are great and all made in Japan. I plan to return in the future.

So comfortable like being at home, I can’t wait to stay again

We love the spaciousness of the room. The garden is beautiful. Staff are friendly and helpful. the hotspiring in the room is definitely a bonus.

Location. Spacious room. Good support from staff.

The rooms are really sizable for the city and price, with high ceilings and lots if light!

This place is a jewel. We stayed in a nine different cities, and this one was our favorite. absolutely beautiful. I don’t think they have enough picture to describe it on the website.

This hotel is exceptional! Staff is very professional and friendly. Also breakfast was wonderful. Highly recommend!
