This was my fifth (or maybe sixth, who can remember) time staying at the Garland and it was perfect as always. The hotel has a really cool retro vibe, excellent staff, and a nice location. For the first time, we stayed in the Portola building, looking toward the hills. The room was very nice and worth the additional (short) walk. I highly recommend this hotel. I come to LA a lot and would not think of staying elsewhere.

This place is amazing, really well located in a very calm neighborhood that is still a short walk from all the shops and buzz. This is a Villa with several, rooms and houses named after famous people that Charlie Chaplin knew and it had a very special feel to stay there. The entire place was very tastefully decorated and had all the amenities you can think of. We LOVED the bathroom, it's funny that our favorite feature was the bathroom but it's really cute, comfy, the shower is amazing and for the bathroom singers out there, best acoustic ever!

    I had only one day for tourism while I was in LA and this...

    I had only one day for tourism while I was in LA and this was my pick - and it was a great choice. Awe-inspiring slice of natural history and a terrific place to walk around. This isn't an all-day attraction, but it took a good couple of hours. I went by bus and it was easy to find and get to other parts of the city afterwards.

    The outdoor seating area on the street. The rooftop pool even though it was small. The neighborhood is great! We went to the Peterson museum and the la Brea tar pits and would have done more but we had to leave. The downstairs areas are very nice but the room is pretty sparse but nice. Quality bathroom fit and finish Valet parking The market with a wide selection of items.
