Some of the most friendly staff that we encountered on our travels. Breakfast each morning was.good and started at 630 was nice for our early morning starts. In a (relatively) quieter part of Hanoi which was a relief after 5 nights in the thick of it. Because of that, we found all the coffee shops and food incredible and filled with locals and we were still a nice walk away from the busy French Quarter.

We loved our time at Hanoi Emerald Waters Hotel Valley! The location is super convenient, right in the city center, so we walked everywhere. The room was clean, cozy, and perfect for relaxing, and the price was very reasonable. The staff—Grace, Justin, Teddy, Henry, and Tom were incredible! So friendly, polite, and always ready to help. They made our stay unforgettable. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Hanoi!

This is an elegant building to see in passing but not worth making a special journey to unless you intend watching a performance there. There are equally elegant if smaller buildings especially in the French Quarter to see of all ages and degrees of shabbiness. Remember when walking around the old quarter of Hanoi to look up as you are avoiding getting run over, to see the real Hanoi above the street level and marvel at the styles, building hot-potch and evidence of former if unregulated buildings and wonder how they manage to stay up.
