The staff at the hotel were brilliant. Kim in particular went above and beyond for us. She had super recommendations for cafes and tourist attractions and was able to source us tickets for the Opera last minute (which she did outside of her working hours). The other best thing about the hotel is the location, it's very central, clean and safe. It felt like everything was within walking distance.

Large, modern, comfortable and super clean rooms with all the amenities including a fridge and Nespresso coffee machine; makes waking up a joy. Courteous and responsive staff took care of all our needs. The hotel is co-located/extension of the well established Parkhotel we previously frequented. We prefer the upbeat, clean, modern furnishings of the Maximillian to the traditional decor of the venerable Parkhotel. A great base to discover the 13th “Habsburg” district of Vienna yet only a 10 minute metro ride to the city centre. Around the corner is the Cafe Dommayer, a great place to relax and enjoy a Melange & be seduced by one of the many traditional Vienna sweets. Try a “Tafelspitz” a lesser known Vienna specialty at the Plachutta restaurant next door.

    It was an incredible surprise to discover a spacious, impeccably clean, and free dry sauna of exceptional quality with a high temperature. I had the privilege of enjoying it on two separate occasions, and to my delight, I had the entire sauna to myself. Adjacent to the sauna, there is a cozy relaxation room where one can comfortably sit or recline. Moreover, outside the relaxation room, amidst lush greenery, there is a charming setup consisting of a table and a pair of chairs. The hotel's location is exceptionally convenient, only a 5-minute walk from the Central train station. The staff members are genuinely friendly and accommodating, providing excellent service at both the reception desk (even during late hours) and the bar. During my visit to the bar, I ordered tea to take back to my room, and to my surprise, I received a tastefully presented teapot with a ceramic mug, along with a delightful and flavorsome tea. The hotel, as a whole, possesses a unique charm, evident in its meticulous attention to detail (such as the fully soundproofed restroom) and its intriguing history of inception. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a visit to Vienna.

    The location. It is really close to the metro and the bus stops. Easy to go to airport or to the train station. The room was cleaned every day and the breakfast was really good. Scrambled eggs, sausages, cheese, ham, boiled eggs, mini croissants, cakes, fruits, yoguurt. I definitely reccomend to stay there.

    I have visited Vienna for work and play more than 100 times.

    I have visited Vienna for work and play more than 100 times. I always find somehting new, but I take time to revisit old haunts. My recommendation for anyone visiting Vienna is to take it easy; do not try to jam too much stuff into every day. A trip to the Crown Jewels display should take much more than an hour----enjoy it. You can spend all day in the Art History Museum and still not see everything. A Kaffeepause is an art form----take your time. Similarly, during the spring/summer and fall (when the weather is decent) eat the evening meal outdoors and enjoy the find soft Vienna evenings. Do not just go to the tourist attractions.

    Wonderful city full of life and history.

    Wonderful city full of life and history. Visiting the churches, the palaces, the museums-there is so much to see and learn. We attended a concert At Mozart House. The Vienna Film Festival was going on so we went each night. The public transportation is easy to use. Definitely go.
