Such a friendly, helping and lovely staff at Avon Hotel. They helped us with everyting we needed, city instructions,Oyster cards, socket adapter, taxi for the airport.I felt so sorry I didnt had the chance to say goodbay with a big hug because of the early hour we left.I recomand Avon Hotel,it is closed to eveeything,15- 20 min to anywhere you wished to go.The Paddington station is 3 min walk.We only used the undergound and not the bus.The Hyde Park is 5- 10 min walk and it is amazing to visit. We basically walked from Hyde Park to Victoria station. The breakfast was also very good and tasty, with coffee, orange juice, tea, fruits. In London it is not easy to find a hotel which offers also breakfast, therefore for this location is a plus and it is something what we were looking for when choosing the hotel.Highly recomomend Avon Hotel!

The location is excellent taking only a couple of minutes to walk from Shepherd’s Bush station. The design of the hotel is beautiful, feels like a boutique style despite being part of a chain. The staff were fantastic, so polite and couldn’t do more to help. The bed was very comfortable, room and bathroom very clean with small touches such as a welcome note and chocolate treat. We stayed within the first two weeks of opening and so were the first to stay in our room - there was an issue with the shower that had gone undetected, once we notified reception, they moved us rooms and upgraded us for the inconvenience. The way this was handled by the staff and management was second to none, the service they provided means we will be staying again.

The staff were amazing - from our airport pickup, to check-in, to the concierges and doormen and waiting staff. All were incredibly well trained, efficient, and couldn't wait to assist us with anything. Our breakfasts were amazing - 5 Star doesn't come close to how excellent they were. Our room was very comfortable and full of wonderful little thoughtful touches. The Ritz was a once-in-a-lifetime destination for a special weekend and I will never forget how special everyone made us feel.

We had the best time. The hotel is just stunning and newly renovated. We used the spa facilities and it was so nice after a long day out walking. All the staff were really nice and helpful. We even had a bottle of bubbly and a fruit basket as a surprise in our upgraded room. What a treat to come back to🥰. Breakfast was so fresh and there wasn’t anything you couldn’t get, and served until the 11am. We will for sure be back.

The location is absolutely fantastic. 20 minutes walking distance from Big Ben, nearby restaurants, cinemas, clubs, bars, fast food locations and stores. Room was pretty small but with a perfect view to the city. Breakfast could be better. There were NO eggs, sausages, or varieties of yogurts. Warm sandwiches were delicious though.

we visited the tower of London.

we visited the tower of London. It was amazing and our tour guided was amazing. British Museum was a bit overwhelming. We could have used more time there. Did a river cruise which gave a general of history of London, very nice. Harrods was unbelievable but quite expensive. Food was great. We were there on a surprisingly hot week so it was a bit sticky. Overall we loved it.

It was a beautiful place. The grounds were impeccable. It was great seeing the teams training for the Regatta . The reception staff were very friendly and helpful when we needed information about the area as we had not been to Henley before. We took a boat trip down the river that was in front of the hotel it was lovely. The old buildings of Henley were lovely. The 1 way streets were confusing as in England cars are parked on the same side of the road in different directions.

The main house looks very nice, but sadly that was not where we got our room. They build a very cheap and ugly side building, which is nor even connected to the main house, and it is not very nice. The room is basic, so kind of OK, but to go to the gym, swimming pool or breakfast you have to walk through part of the garden to the main hous. OK when weather is nice, not so great when its raining.

I know Twickenham well having lived there. 30 years later it has improved with the pedestrianisation of Church Street. Workhas commenced on demolishing some ugly shops which will open up the view of the river from King Sttreet. I'm looking forward to seeing the result. There are some pleasant pubs, including those near the river. Marble Hill Park and Radnor Gardnes are also really nice, with dog-walkers welcome. We checked out Walpole's wonderful Strawberry Hill House - it was well worth the visit.

The property is not in Pangbourne although it can be reached in a short car ride. It is by the River Thames with the main road running through it. It was very busy when we were there. Goring and twin town Streatley are nearer with good independent shops. Basildon Park (National Trust) is near and well worth a visit. The house is interesting and it is set in parkland with lots of walking.
