Breakfast was a feast. Everything was delicious. Our room was more suitable for a single person. Too small for a couple. Location was ideal. A few steps away from bakery, restaurants, tourists sights and a short ride to Knossos and airport. Staff was great.

Super nice surprise - it was even better than at the pictures. You never know what you get but you don't have to worry about it here - it's the vacation. Stylish room, luxurious bed linen, nice balcony.. So pitty we arrived quite late and stayed only one night leaving early in the morning. We would go back next time in Heraklion. Thank you!

Amazing hotel with everything you need in it. We enjoyed every day that we spent here. All the staff was very friendly, our room was cleaned every day and all the housekeepers were so nice. Especially want to admit animators, they are doing their work with such a joy and energy, big respect to them. Our 4 years old daughter was staying at kids club with pleasure thanks to Paula and Lara, big thanks to them. In the main restaurant waiters always took care for you to have a served and clean table very fast. Food was nice, there was a great variety of everything. Evening programs were nice too and just enough for family holidays. We definitely recommend this beautiful and cozy hotel to everyone 💛

It situated right on the beach. 2 big swimming pools, 2 for babies. It has a beautiful garden with lots of palm trees and many kind of flowers, bushes. Great animation team. Lots of activities during the day and the evening. The sea is rocky, swimming shoes needed. Great variety of foods in the main reastaurant and the tavern next to the big swimming pool. At arrival a plate of fruits, a bottle of wine and water provided by the hotel. Every day one bottle of water in the room provided by the hotel. Safe box on the is free of charge.

Amazing place, worth every penny, delicious food, wonderful sandy beach, a lot of activities. Beautiful views, there's plenty of trees and greens areas. The gym is very well equipped although teenagers can use it only under parental supervision. It's perfect for families with kids (aquapark, mini disco) and with older children (every kind of sport - volleyball, football, water polo, archery, yoga, dance lessons). Also couples will enjoy the stay there!

Lato Boutique Hotel is a great place to stay in Heraklion. The view of the harbor is magnificent. The room is spacious, and the bed is very comfortable. It was about a ten minutes walk uphill part way to Koutouloufari, loads of restaurants and bars, a fabulous experience. Walk a little further and you come to Piscopiano, also excellent. Walk down the hill and you come to restaurants with Greek dancing and plate smashing, also excellent.

The harbour is obviously a main attraction, although it is a pity that there are so many derelict buildings that you see when walking along the sea front. At night the old town centre with the restaurants and bars is crowded and buzzing. The biggest attraction just out of town (3€ each way on the bus) he’s to be Knossos Palace, but personally I was disappointed because so much of what you are told is assumed to be what it was once like. However, I did go round without guide of shy sort. Also the archaeological museum contains impressive amounts of artifacts , many of which came from the Palace.

Vicky, the hostess, is warm and attentive and does her best to accommodate guests’ requests. The entire team is friendly and helpful. All dishes are freshly prepared and well suited to our tastes. A special mention goes to the young chef, who stopped by each evening to ask for feedback on the dishes.

People were lovely. Amoudara is very close to the airport. The beaches are amazing. A few of the beachbars/restaurants allow you to use their sunbeds foc as long as you eat and drink there. Booking excursions/trips and sightseeing is very easy. Restaurants/bars mainly run along the main strip. Although there are quite a few down side streets.

Matala is a colorful, beautiful, and lively little town with a great atmosphere. It is perfect for beach days and a good starting point for day trips to nearby museums and archaeological sites. There is a huge selection of good restaurants. It is a good idea to arrive by car if you want to go on lots of trips and be independent. However, there are also bus connections, e.g. to Heraklion.

A quiet area, but the beach close by is not the best (still ok if you wanna just refresh a bit) and you need the car if you want to see and explore more (even in the surroundings). There are buses, though, to move to/from major points of interest. The location I chose (Kri-Kri Village) was perfect and I had the best time! Extremely relaxing, chill vibe and you can reach great beaches not far. Suggested!

We stayed at Kato Gouves which is slightly out of Gouves. There are some lovely restaurants and taverna's. We've been many times and like to walk to the beach at Analipsi where there is plenty space.

The beach has some organized areas with sunbeds, but it gets very busy during the summer peak season, particularly on Sundays when many locals also head to the beaches. The sunbeds tend to get taken quickly, so if you miss out, you can still relax on the sand—but bringing your own umbrella is a good idea for some shade.
