This hotel is amazing. We have no negative feedback. The staff are absolutely amazing. We want to give a spacial thanks to Mandarin, he was so kind and extra attentive to any needs we had. I put inna request for my partners birthday and they went over and beyond for this. The next time i visit i will definitely be booking here and will be brining my parents with us :) we really recommend the hotel, it is worth every penny. Lots of restaurants near, a supermarket next door with super friendly staff. We loved our stay here :) thank you so much to all the staff for making our stay thank extra special 🙏🏻

My experience was amazing, top notch modern rooms, perfect shower, nicely equipped, with high quality linen and towels. I have been there in winter when I assume the accommodation is cheaper, but for the price it is hard to find anything comparable.

First of all, the location is very good-within easy walking distance to the bus station, the port, and the pedestrian areas of the town center. Next, I liked the lobby and lounge areas, which were spacious and pleasant; the room, while a bit antiseptic-looking, turned out to be extremely comfortable and well designed. The excellent mattress, together with the peace and quiet, contributed to a good night's sleep. From my balcony I had a partial view of the sea, which I wasn't expecting. I was pleasantly surprised by the spacious bathroom and by its roomy shower stall, which was equipped with very nice soap and shampoo. The breakfast was delicious, too, with a wide variety of delicious items to choose from, so that you could have a full English breakfast, a Greek breakfast, or a combination of both. Finally, the staff at reception and the cleaning personnel were exceptionally kind and helpful.

Amazing hotel with everything you need in it. We enjoyed every day that we spent here. All the staff was very friendly, our room was cleaned every day and all the housekeepers were so nice. Especially want to admit animators, they are doing their work with such a joy and energy, big respect to them. Our 4 years old daughter was staying at kids club with pleasure thanks to Paula and Lara, big thanks to them. In the main restaurant waiters always took care for you to have a served and clean table very fast. Food was nice, there was a great variety of everything. Evening programs were nice too and just enough for family holidays. We definitely recommend this beautiful and cozy hotel to everyone 💛

We arrived at 5a.m. with a toddler realising that we made a mistake with our reservation and booked the next day instead. The 2 guys at the reception were very kind and tried to make our night as comfortable as possible. They called a few other hotels to find a place for us to stay the night. Unfortunately it wasn't possible. They told us to stay at couches until the morning, offered us coffee, tea and water along with pastries. I wish all people were so kind as them. Will definitely stay there again if we are in the area.

The ambience through out the palace is outstanding. Cleanliness is very good, lots of fun activities, amusement and entertainment. Food stands out the best of all of it. We had different options in restaurants to choose. I recommend to use All inclusive as adults and kids get varieties of food and drinks. It was about a ten minutes walk uphill part way to Koutouloufari, loads of restaurants and bars, a fabulous experience. Walk a little further and you come to Piscopiano, also excellent. Walk down the hill and you come to restaurants with Greek dancing and plate smashing, also excellent.

The harbour is obviously a main attraction, although it is a pity that there are so many derelict buildings that you see when walking along the sea front. At night the old town centre with the restaurants and bars is crowded and buzzing. The biggest attraction just out of town (3€ each way on the bus) he’s to be Knossos Palace, but personally I was disappointed because so much of what you are told is assumed to be what it was once like. However, I did go round without guide of shy sort. Also the archaeological museum contains impressive amounts of artifacts , many of which came from the Palace.

Vicky, the hostess, is warm and attentive and does her best to accommodate guests’ requests. The entire team is friendly and helpful. All dishes are freshly prepared and well suited to our tastes. A special mention goes to the young chef, who stopped by each evening to ask for feedback on the dishes.

Matala is a colorful, beautiful, and lively little town with a great atmosphere. It is perfect for beach days and a good starting point for day trips to nearby museums and archaeological sites. There is a huge selection of good restaurants. It is a good idea to arrive by car if you want to go on lots of trips and be independent. However, there are also bus connections, e.g. to Heraklion.

A quiet area, but the beach close by is not the best (still ok if you wanna just refresh a bit) and you need the car if you want to see and explore more (even in the surroundings). There are buses, though, to move to/from major points of interest. The location I chose (Kri-Kri Village) was perfect and I had the best time! Extremely relaxing, chill vibe and you can reach great beaches not far. Suggested!

We stayed at Kato Gouves which is slightly out of Gouves. There are some lovely restaurants and taverna's. We've been many times and like to walk to the beach at Analipsi where there is plenty space.

Karteros is a convenient location, especially because it’s close to the airport. The beach has some organized areas with sunbeds, but it gets very busy during the summer peak season, particularly on Sundays when many locals also head to the beaches. The sunbeds tend to get taken quickly, so if you miss out, you can still relax on the sand—but bringing your own umbrella is a good idea for some shade.
