Easy to get around: walk, hop on hop off buses, taxis, train station and port with ferries and boats to go to other cities and tour. Good seafood. I enjoyed the mussels, clams, octopus and crumbed squid. Pizza originated from Naples but not to my liking - too thin. Pasta is good. Must try the pastries and limoncello products. Beautiful churches, castles, ports and monuments. Visit the museums especially the National archeology museum. The Church of New Jesus is spectacular (architecture, statues, carvings, paintings). The spanish quarters has murals and statues of Diego Maradona - a must see for soccer fans. Take a ferry to Capri and a boat ride along the coast. Visit Pompei - major tourist attraction. Extra to do would be to visit the palaces, go to the theatre, watch a performance by the italian musicians.Guest review byDashnieSouth Africa - 8.0

Weather in early September was great. temps in the high 20's. Some lovely architecture especially the many churches. Lovely back streets to explore. Can access steps or lift down to the ocean. Popular destination as there were crowds everywhere, 45 mins on train to pompeii.Guest review byJosephIreland - 10.0
This is just a wonderful place.
This is just a wonderful place. We were there in August which should be high season but it wasn't too crowded. You of course have to have some tourism so that restaurants and shopping will thrive and for us this is just the perfect balance. Not too many people "in your way" but still enough to have a variety of restaurants, shops and all sorts of services. We will 100% be returning to Ischia... most likely more than once and more than twice.Guest review byGunnar GeirIceland - 10.0

The old town of Salerno is well worth exploring with cobbled streets and hidden passageways. Excellent food options. There’s a nice wide pedestrian promenade along the Marina to walk up to old town. The port has ferries to take trips to the Amalfi coast. We went to Amalfi and got the bus up to Ravello (on our host’s recommendation). Make sure you buy your bus ticket before catching the bus. Ravello is stunning - up high with views along the coast.Guest review byChrisUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Capri is great to explore via taxi, get up early and head up to Ana Capri, less traffic more intimate area. The chair lift is a must to the top of the mountain, and lunch up top of the mountain is amazing. Capri is nice in the evenings to walk around and shop with plenty of places to get cocktails, and explore.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Amalfi is a small and charming town with beautiful architecture and a lovely atmosphere. However, since it’s the central town of the entire Amalfi Coast, it tends to get very crowded — which unfortunately takes away some of its charm. That said, it’s still worth a visit, especially to admire its history and beauty. But I highly recommend exploring the nearby towns as well — like Positano, Atrani, Maiori, Minori, and others — each of them has its own unique character and is often much more peaceful and authentic.Guest review byLiza ManijaLatvia - 10.0

Transport links, especially the trains were cheap and easy to find and allowed easy travel to Salerno, Sorrento and Herculaneum. Pompeii archeological site was only a 10 minute walk from our B&B and was a great experience. The train to Salerno was only €2.50 and a short walk took you to the harbour where we took a boat trip to Amalfi, Positano and Sorrento. The train back to pompei was busy but only took half an hour and again was around €2.50. Unforgettable experienceGuest review byMarkUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Beautiful place with unreal views. Paths of Gods is a must. Rent a Vespa to maximise your experience and visiting nearby towns. Be prepared to be completely ripped off for everything, food, drink is ridiculously expensive.Guest review byRoss - 8.0
Caserta is a pleasant ordinary town.
Caserta is a pleasant ordinary town. The Royal Palce is jaw dropping and it is a 8E return train ride from Naples. With a car, there are many fantastic Roman sites and a spectacular coastline within 30k. The town has quite a number of excellent Pizza restaurants, all competitively priced.Guest review bypaulUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The city is medium and what I don't like but this looks to be Italian style, they close the shops/stores to early ( about 20:30 ) ; for me a place on the sea cost acting like this is unusual !Guest review byPANTEA
