We had such an amazing time at Alma Maya Resort! The road leading to the Resort is quite challenging. But once there, everything was perfect. The private cenote and the sounds of the jungle were amazing. The room was really cosy and the beds were very comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was so attentive and super friendly! It was absolutely worth the price and the difficulty of getting there.

Where to begin? The location is great, conveniently located 25 mins away from the Cancun airport. The entrance to the property is sophisticated and welcoming, yet not ostentatious. The property is tucked away from the main road and you feel in a bubble, away from the hustle and bustle of Cancun & PdC. The décor is tasteful and the focus is one's wellbeing and nature. The main pool is not too deep and the temperature was ideal. The beach is beautiful: warm temperature, clear water with little gulfweed (I went in early March), and white sand. There are multiple beach beds, all with an available umbrella for those seeking shade. The food was delightful, having eaten in all 3 restaurants, plus they feature excellent cocktails. The room was magnificent. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and got an upgrade to a second-story oceanview 2-bedroom suite. It boasted a social area with a balcony, another side terrace with a hammock and a plunge pool, the main bedroom with a king-sized bed, another bedroom with 2 twin beds and bathroom, and a bathroom with 2 closets, his-and-hers sinks, a shower, and a bathtub. They provide hats, kaftans, sandals, bathrobes, & a beach bag for use during one's stay. The water pressure (I'm a stickler for this) was excellent, as was the towels' quality. The mattress was very comfortable and the goose-feathered pillows were a dream. The A/C was potent enough to cool the large bedroom despite the outside warmth and humidity, plus, there is a ceiling fan available as well. We enjoyed a couple's massage at Guerlain's first spa in Latin America, as well as a sunrise meditation and yoga class. But the pièce de résistance is the staff: well-manicured, warm, friendly, courteous, and extremely attentive. Truly a delight.

The hotel is ideal for families with toddlers. There are several options to keep them entertained and because most of the people are dealing with kids you feel less stressed cause everyone else can relate to whatever you are going on. The staff is super friendly and always making sure you are covered or if you need anything else. Special mention to the two host ladies in La pergola and Heber (the waiter). Also Julio at the Rodeo Grill went above and beyond with his service. There are plenty of vegan options at the buffet and also the 3 restaurants have a vegan menu .

The property is exceptionally clean and well-maintained, with plenty of space so guests never feel crowded. We stayed at El Beso Adults Only and truly enjoyed the privacy it offered, while still having access to all the other facilities on the same grounds. The staff was incredibly friendly and approachable — Ivan and Fredy at the El Beso restaurant were fantastic, always providing excellent service. Ricardo was full of energy and always went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Elisabeth from the entertainment team had such a positive attitude and amazing energy — we even had a super fun tequila tasting with her. This place is worth every penny and more. Definitely a destination worth visiting — and one we look forward to coming back to.

    The resort was beautiful and maintained well. The food was really good for an all inclusive, the drinks were watered down so I’d suggest getting anything you want on the rocks. The beach wasn’t swimmable due to alligators and high seaweed- the water was dark and muddy/murky. So, if your plan is to swim in the beach, plan to travel elsewhere for beach activities.

    Location is very good, about 25 minutes’ walk from Puerto Morelos center along the beach. The beach is of very fine sand and swimming is ideal. The resort is very nice, upscale and well maintained. The rooms are large, it is recommended to take a sea view room with balcony. The food is excellent and was a big surprise for an all-inclusive resort where food very often is not more than average.
