Super location, on a small square slightly away from the centre but close enough to be easy walking distance from the principal tourist destinations in the city. The hotel itself was very clea, and comfortable. The room we shared wasn’t huge, but we knew that when booking. But it was adequate, and quiet. The square outside the hotel is close to one of the universities but this did not detract in any way from the atmosphere or feeling of being away from the main crowds. There are a number of good restaurants close by, at a good range of prices and a couple of small supermarkets. The breakfasts were fine. It is very much a continental breakfast with cold cheeses and meats, etc, and pastries. But there was plenty and they will happily make fresh coffee (to the usual superb Italian standard) as an alternative to the machine offering. Finally, the staff were excellent - from the reception to those in the breakfast room and the cleaning staff.
In short, a great place to use as a base for a stay in Firenze.
Hotel Delle Nazioni is 50 metres from Florence Santa Maria Novella Station and a 10-minute walk from Florence Cathedral.

Best-known for the stunning Duomo, Florence is full of amazing buildings and its historic centre. The Ponte Vecchio, a 14th-century bridge holding a multitude of shops on its edges is a stunning example and provides a truly unforgettable view.
Dig into more of the city’s historical past at the Basilica of Santa Croce, a Franciscan church full of great artwork and the burial place of Italian greats: Michelangelo and Galileo. The Uffizi Gallery is one of the world’s finest art museums and the Pitti Palace is not far behind.
For great dining, the Santa Croce district has countless options and the unique lampredotto is Florentine fast-food with a 1000-year old history. Many consider the local gelato, Italian ice-cream, to be the best in the world.
The beauty and flavours of Florence are just a 15-minute train ride from the Amerigo Vespucci International Airport. Whether you’re looking for a room with a view at a cosy B&B, a luxury hotel or an intimate guesthouse, Booking.com has the perfect accommodation for your Florence adventure.
A city worth visiting again and again. My second Time in Florence and still had a lot of things to see. Of course one must visit the obvious such as Ponte Vecchio or Uffizi Gallery but what is the most important thing while visiting Florence is to enjoy the city as a whole; history and beauty are everywhere so just keep your eyes open and wonder around. Don’t get a taxi but walk.

This was my second visit over the years, so I didn’t do too many museums and tourists’ attractions, which gave me plenty of time to walk around and enjoy the streets and magnificent buildings, and try to avoid the crowds. Three or fours days are enough to see most of the sights without running too much. I had eight days so I did one trip to Siena (1.5 hours by train) one to Pisa (50 mins by train), one to the beach at Viareggio (1h 45 mins by train) and one afternoon Chianti wine trip and degustation. The Tuscan countryside is magnificent! You definitely need to plan the visits of museums etc in advance as you simply can’t walk into the most famous ones (Duomo, Pantheon, Accademia, Uffizi etc) expecting to have access that day. One exception was Palazzo Pitti - I just bought a ticket there and walked in. Well worth the visit (buy joint ticket Palazzo and huge gardens!) stunning but not as popular as the most famous ones. You can pay fir a skip-the queue ticket fir major museums, it helps but you still have to queue. I’d recommend buying the Firenzecard valid for 3 days for €85 giving you access to all museums. Florence is a very busy city full of tourists but well worth visiting. Most sights are in walking distance. Take a little boat trip on the Arno, nothing major but a pleasant hour before the aperitivo! A little pricey (€25) for what it really is, was cheaper in Rome, but enjoyable all the same. Make sure to walk up the hill (20/25 mins) to Piazza Michelangelo for stunning views of the city. Well worth the effort. If you want ‘real’ Italian / Florentine food, avoid tourists restaurants around famous sights that serve food all day. There are many local restaurants in small side streets. Remember Italian eat later than the USA/UK fir instance, after 7pm, but during the day plenty of places to snack. Night life is also vibrant, venture into remote streets and little piazzas… Florence is my favourite city.

Florence is great, but way too crowded
There are lines everywhere , people everywhere
The sewer system of the city is in bad shape and it stinks
We enjoyed the Cantinetta Antinori restaurant and the food court at MercatoCentrale
For a future visit, I would choose low season, when there are hopefully fewer tourists

Make sure you buy online tickets for the Duomo in advance.
Make sure you buy online tickets for the Duomo in advance. The climb to the top of the Duomo is not to be missed, there are a lot of stairs and the walk around the inside of the Duomo is very high so be prepared.

Florence is overwhelmingly beautiful and packed with history and sites to dazzle anyone with even a passing interest in history or art. A walking tour to kick off your visit is strongly encouraged as it helps you to get your bearings. Bring comfortable walking shoes!
The Hotel Magnifico lives up to its name. The rooftop terrace is worth a visit. Its head mixologist (Adamo) is professional and very enthusiastic. Food and drinks were pricey but worth it - a true experience!
Consider visiting in the shoulder seasons to avoid the huge crowds.
I wanted a hotel close to Florence but also with grounds and a pool. Both were excellent. I hadn't planned on eating at the hotel every evening but the food, ambience and service were excellent. For those that fear having to save a bed by the pool every day, fear not, there are ample. The local buses into town are frequent but a 10 min walk away and don't adhere to forecast times, I didn't find it a problem, part of the experience of being in Italy. The hotel operates a shuttle but not always at the times I needed.
The hotel is very nice and cozy, the staff super helpful and attentive. Everybody helped us with all our requests. Even we were advised and helped on where to get a Covid test, now that is required in Italy and it’s difficult to get one on time. The location is just a 10-15 min walk to the city center and next to San Lorenzo neighborhood, very lively at night, but the hotel is in a quiet street. The breakfast is fantastic, very complete. We’ll definitely come back here when we are back to Florence.
My husband and I spent 10 days in Italy, celebrating our wedding anniversary. I can say that from all the different hotels in several cities that we visited, this was our favorite place to stay in. The room was very clean and neat, the bathroom, view to the Duomo and all about it was just wonderful. Luisa was also super helpful and went out of her way to make our stay at great experience! ❤️
Location is fantastic, right in the centre of Florence & about 5 mins from the tram stop on the direct line from the airport. Rooms are not huge- but as expected for Italy, however they’re comfortable & clean. 1 of our rooms overlooked the internal courtyard & was lovely.
Breakfast is included & was great; plenty of choice & also delicious homemade cakes.
Really recommend this hotel.
The location in the heart of Florence and the Angel owner Daniella 💖 The breakfast was a delight and completely different yet authentic!!! The best egg preparations everyday which was the best one we had in whole of our 4 week Italy vacation at 10 different locations. The bed was very pleasant and one of the best amongst all our stays .
We couldn’t have been more pleased with this gem in Florence! Best place we stayed in all of our Italy travels. Wonderful bathroom and beautiful high ceilings. We felt so comfortable.
The location is perfect. And the staff are the most helpful people we’ve dealt with our whole trip. 10/10. If we ever go back we would stay here again!
We stayed in five different locations in Italy, and this was by far the best. The apartment was large and overlooked one of the main Piazzas in Florence. Everything we wanted to see and do were within walking distance. There were restaurants right outside our front door. If you are going to Florence, this is the place to stay.
If you're looking for a place to stay in Florence - you just found it. Don't hesitate, this hotel is PERFECT in cleanliness, location, breakfast, team, air conditioning - everything! It was one of the best choices we made when in Italy. We booked the room with the hot tub and the tiny balcony, and it was fantastic :)
The apartment was clean, comfortable and was a fabulous place to stay while in Florence. Miki met us there and spent time showing us the apartment and made sure the Wifi was working before she left! This apartment was the best accommodation we had during our Italy trip! I would highly recommend staying here.
This hotel.had an excellent location. Perfect for shopping. Central to all attractions and restaurants. Great breakfast. ours was not included, by choice and we still used the service. In need of some up dating...although not untipicle for Italy unless you want to pay much more. All in all. a great value.
View from this property is priceless.
What you see from booking.com is a true view from their dining room. Although not a full height window, it does give you a good outlook to see Florence.
Rooms are spacious and comfortable.
Check-in procedure is the best one we have experienced in Italy.
The property is magnificent, very clean, the gardens are beautiful.. the staff is excellent and very professional. The food and breakfast are exceptional. Best location in Italy we have stayed at…short distance from Florence but far enough away from the city for some peace and quite.
Giada was a wonderful host! My husband and I stayed at the Fiordaliso Boutique Apartments for the first portion of our trip to Italy and truly enjoyed the venue while we were in Florence. The accommodations were wonderful and the apartments were very clean and kept up!
Silvia’s place was beautiful. Exactly as described in the pictures, phenomenal location right in the heart of Florence. She even was so kind to leave us a bottle of wine & Oreos. It was the best B&B we stayed in during our 2 week trip to Italy. Highly recommend!!
Beautiful hotel, our room was gorgeous. Nicest place we stayed on our Italy trip. Everyone working there was super nice and helpful. For being in the middle of the busy part of town it was relatively quiet. Clean rooms and turn down service everyday.
The best hotel that I stay in Italy! Location is perfect, room is super clean and friendly staff. I wish I will stay in Canto degli Aranci again in my next Florence visit. This place makes my travel very well. Highly recommended!
An amazing apartment with loads of free parking right outside the front door. . One of the best apartment stays in our travels in Italy. Close drive or bus ride to Florence and surrounding towns. A true gem. Highly recommend.
The room was generally clean, the hotel is very close to a tram station and you can reach easily the city center. Also they have free parking, something that is very rare in Italy
