The property was beautiful, very well maintained, and the rooms tastefully decorated. Alyssa has excellent customer service skills and made sure we had everything we needed, in addition to letting us know about the amenities upon check in. (IE: access to kayaks and paddle boards) Having a separate pool area for adults only was a huge plus!

Being right on the water affording excellent views on a daily basis. Showers and bathrooms 50 feet away meant we didn't have to use the boat/rv style amenities on the boat. All cooking utensils were available and used during our stay. Stand up paddleboards, kayaks, BBQ, and swimming pool were excellent. Staying in the Middle Keys in Marathon makes it easy to drive to the Lower Keys (Key West) or Upper Keys (Key Largo) for touring, snorkeling, or SCUBA diving.
Courtyard by Marriott Faro Blanco Resort offers free WiFi and along with two outdoor pools and a hot tub, the resort features lawn games, kayak, paddleboard, and jet ski.

In our experience, there's not a lot to do in Marathon.
In our experience, there's not a lot to do in Marathon. There's some snorkel, SCUBA, and fishing charters, but that's about it. Sombrero Beach looks great for younger families. There's more recreational activities out of Key Largo and Key West, but Marathon is central for access to both, plus Islamorada and Big Pine. There's plenty of areas to eat, but we found that buying ahi tuna steaks at $10/lb was a steal at the grocery store. As with all driving in the Keys, respect the speed as there are plenty of deputies and troopers.

Marathon is a great stop before going to key west or if you want to fish or do activities. KW isn't a great destination for that. Marathon is much quieter but also closes early.
I'd much rather stay in Marathon for a longer part and do an overnight in KW.

Went to Bahia Honda State Park - beaches were ok. They offer paddle boarding and kayak rental there. went on several trails, which were nice. Went on the old 7 mile bridge (cloudy day), but didn't get to see sunrise. Drove out to see mini deers and got to see a glimpse of one (it was not near sunset or sunrise, which is the time they recommend you go to see them).

We visited the Sea Turtle Recuse Hospital and it was amazing. They are doing such a great job .
We ate at a lot of restaurants that was on our List and a few from recommendations from Jason ( Front desk Clerk-awesome guy).
Had breakfast at the Conch House Cafe -twice and Dinner at Castaways twice.
Bahia Honda State Park beach was the BEST Beach we visited in Marathon.
We had a really lovely two night stay here at Sea Dell motel. Ryan who checked us in was friendly and had some good recommendations for local restaurants. We enjoyed chilling by the pool, the rooms were spacious and had all we needed. Just a 10/15 min drive from a good beach (perhaps the best in the Keys?). From here we drove down to Key West for the day, a really lovely drive and Key West is not to be missed. Loved the arty/Hippy vibes. Could have stayed here much longer!! Thanks Ryan and the Sea Dell motel for an amazing stay.
The location was brilliant and in comparison to other properties, it was reasonably priced. The room was clean with coffee making facilities etc. The pool was good too. Nice and warm! The best bit was access to the little marina behind the motel which was gorgeous and the perfect place to watch the sun rise or set. Was a great position roughly half way along the keys and very near Bahia Honda and Sombrero beach, both of which are worth visiting. Also not too far for a day trip to Key West. Would recommend.
comfort and warm hotel, friendly staff.
Room was clean, wide, comfortable with 2 queen size beds and sofa bed, fridge.
Pool is good, open till 22:00 (and beyond if you keep silence) and towels, fitness center (small one with the basic equipment), many parking slots
located in the center of Marathon, right in the middle of the Keys, an hour drive to each of the Key's edges. (largo/west)
Hotel loans bicycles to cycle around. (not the best bicycles however enough for short biking around)
Very kind staff (including the sweetest dog). When we arrived it was raining, so the guy at the reception changed our cottage, giving us one with an internal bathroom (so we don't have to go out in case of rain). Spacious cottage equipped with everything you need. Marathon is an island in the Keys that's more in length than width, but the cottages are about halfway in a great location. A stone's throw from the sea. Recommended, would go back.
I liked that the hotel was kind of "old school" but it really does need some renovations. I was disappointed in the location as far as the access to a beach. There is a very nice one about 2 miles away. I thought it would be close enough to walk to the water but the closest water was private access only. The price was a little high for the room but I guess that is what you get in the Keys. The room seemed clean enough just old and needy.
The location is great, right in the middle Keys. The hotel grounds were really nice, with lots of picnic areas and access to the marina, with great views of the water. Everyone we met there was very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. I will definitely stop again, and next time bring my dogs since they are pet friendly and affordable pet fees. I can't wait to go back.
The owners were really nice, the property is beautiful with access to the water e.g. with boat or kayak, pool to take a dip after a hot day, laundry options, the room was really spacious and had everything we needed, outdoor seating for every room, great location in marathon to explore the keys - we loved everything here! Hope we’ll be back there someday :)
Beach, Pool, Sea ... What wasn't there to like. The place was clean and exactly like the pictures online. The staff were friendly and helpful and able to recommend places locally.
We stayed here for four days at the end of a three week trip round Florida from the UK. Would recommend to anyone going to the Keys to check this place out.
The hotel is in a good location (Marathon, near the main street) and rich in services for free like pool towels, and if you want to go to the beach they provide you with ybeach towels, sun umbrellas and other accessories. By the pool, every night you may enjoy live music. The staff is really nice and supportive.
The house was very clean and the location was perfect for fishing in Marathon. The spacious house is within walking distance of a beach. Nice large television, open concept with a nice dining table and easy access to the deck with comfortable seating and another table. We loved the deck.
Old school Florida hotel. The rooms are small, but clean and comfortable.
The room had a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. We didn't take advantage of the bagged breakfast, but it looked good.
We stayed two nights and enjoyed our stay. We would return again.
The hotel is simply incredible, and the landscapes surrounding it are magnificent.
The staff are lovely and very professional, it really is a magical place!
The cocktails are excellent, as is the breakfast - there's something for everyone.
The room was modest but clean and directly on the beach. The breakfast was very good. We only stayed one night on our way to Key West. would definitely stay again if in the area. We would recommend this lodging for others.
The location. We love staying in Marathon since it is half way in the keys. This was our second stay. it is very family friendly and the staff are great.
