The room is huge and clean. Shocked 😳 to get that size of room. Thank you.
I am a vegan. I was able to eat oatmeal & cereal sprinkle with nuts. I brought my own almond milk. I forgot to inquire if you have a “standby” soy or almond milk. It could have been a plus if you have vegan sausage or vegan egg.

Before ( decades ago) was known as park borough now is traffic bridge to bridge for 40 min, rude drivers and a lot of illegal immigrants . Plus very limited amount of decent place to stay or diner . Yeak.

I absolutely DO NOT recommend this place!!
I absolutely DO NOT recommend this place!! Everything else about Staten Island was great. Parking sucks, I had to park a block away, the owners are rude and loud. The only privacy is if you stay in your room. I'm very disappointed.

Staten Island is so different from mainland New York.
Staten Island is so different from mainland New York. Although, or perhaps because of, primarily a domestic residential area, many open spaces and some interesting historical sites. I understand there are lots of wild deer on the island, although we did not see any. I was particularly impressed by the cleanliness of the one shopping mall I visited.
The only downside is the cost o crossing those bridges - up to $17 at peak times.

I can only share the reason for my visit...to view and review a concert at the St George Theatre. The theatre is gorgeous and a real dedication to its historical past. The traveling expressways are easy to navigate and well maintained. Unfortunately, I have never done any other sight-seeing here.

We did not walk the neighborhood.
We did not walk the neighborhood. Danuta gave us menus for different restaurants in the area that would deliver food for us.
We did not want to go out, it was the coldest day we have ever
seen, way below 0. Staying in her cozy house was just right for
us. We did not get to see Staten Island because it was dark and
we just went to the Port Ship Terminal in the morning.

I was there for a funeral.
I was there for a funeral. I grew up on SI and except for friends, family and some great restaurants , I don’t visit. Many roads have potholes , and there are cameras at quite a few intersections and extremely short yellow lights. Unless you are visiting Manhattan and looking for a cheaper, quieter place to stay take the ferry round trip and leave.
This B & B on Staten Island was located on the estuary between Brooklyn and Staten Island near the Verrazano Bridge with great views of the Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Jersey City skylines. The room was clean and comfortable with a good quality room A/C. The continental breakfast was excellent. The staff was welcoming and satisfied all of my requests promptly with kindness. Parking was available on street level. A great value for the excellent location!! I would stay again and highly recommend this B and B to friends and family.
The owner of the property met us when we arrived later than expected. Was warm, welcoming and more than happy to help us. Room was great, quiet, clean and Staten Island gave us some much needed peace each night after being in Manhattan all day. Bus to the ferry was a 2 minute walk from the hotel, transfer times are in sync so no waiting. Host told us where we could buy bus and metro cards from. Lots of information provided by him. Can't wait to come back! Thank you for your hospitality
The breakfast was a pack of oatmeal, piece of fruit and a carton of o.j.. The rooms was clean. Smaller than any other holiday inn I've ever been to. Comparable to microtel....i live in NC so the price was a little steep for such a small room..but it is in NY....hotel is in a parking lot off by itself with 2 other hotels almost exactly the same, next to it. Nothing pretty to look at...just a few trees and a big smoke stack.
Never made it to breakfast, and the location is bad due to not enough parking. 3 hotels next to one another and the parking is shared. The front desk stated that I could park across the street from the hotel with was a empty lot with a for sale sign on the property. I was not parking there to wake up and possibly be towed. So I parked on the yellow line next to the handicap parking.
Hotel rooms were same as seen in pictures, clean and tidy. Cleaning was done every second day and unclean towels were regularly replaced with cleaner ones.
Room had enough USB ports for charging mobile phone, as we didn't had same plugs.
Room also had a microvawe, fridge and a coffee machine.
we got free breakfast on first day due to Christmas Eve.
Loved the wonderful views over the water from the front porch seating and our room, with the Manhattan skyline and shipping. Also the free Staten Island Ferry past the Statue of Liberty. And the free street parking. And the warm hospitality. It was exactly as advertised and a good value place to stay in New York.
-large room with separate work station.
-wonderful shower head with multiple options.
-drinks & snacks available for sale at front desk at all times
-breakfast options changed daily and very clean
-hotel called after we checked out because cleaning staff found items we left in room. very good follow up.
Danuta was a warm and knowledgeable host. She welcomed me into her home and made us feel as though it was my own. She prepared a wonderful breakfast and told great stories of Staten Island and her time on the island. I'd go back in a heartbeat.
