Tynemouth has beautiful beaches and views, with plenty of pubs with real ale and cafes. Great place to visit as day trip from Newcastle on the Metro, or as stopping off point on coastal walk/cycle.

I have visited Tynemouth on previous occasions though this was the first time i had stayed there. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate on this occasion but from experience Tynemouth is an excellent place for a relaxing break. There are coastal walks and History in the town which is very well kept. Also there are several places of interest to visit nearby and the centre of Newcastle is a 20 minute ride on the Metro.

The hotel is up to the usual Inn Collection high standard. Well done Inn Collection for restoring it so beautifully. It was very busy with folks wanting to look but we managed to find bolt holes in the spacious restaurant. A few teething problems. We booked a twin but we’re put in a double so there was a one hour delay before we could move rooms. There were two further problems that I needed to contact reception about. The staff were stretched but very good.

Breakfast was great! Made it myself in the kitchen. Location was very good, close to Front St, Tynemouth. Short walk to Metro, stores, historic Tynemouth Castle and coast. Wish I had time to stay there longer than the 2 days I had available. I am looking forward to staying there next time I get back to UK. Excellent apartment, ideal for a family stay.

The location is ideal for exploring everything Tynemouth has to offer, within walking distance of shops, restaurants and the beaches. Edith Haven is an excellent holiday home, tastefully decorated, clean and spacious enough for our party of four. A few welcome treats from the owner Raymond was a lovely touch too.
