Ibis Malaga Centro Ciudad, hotel in Málaga

The Ibis Malaga Centro Ciudad is located next to Malaga Cathedral and just 5 minutes’ from the Picasso Museum. It offers modern rooms with free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV and air conditioning.

The hotel is located at the dry side of an old river bank, a quick cross and you´re walking in the very center of Malaga in about 10 minutes. The bar outside allows a respite from the tourist craze of the center. The hotel let us know in advance they were renovating and we were pleasantly surprised there was no noise of maintenance. The staff was efficient and friendly. Shopping mall and Train-Bus stations are very closely located. The room was well lit, clean and modernly decorated. It is my second Ibis in less than one month in two different countries and they keep same standards.

Palacio Solecio, a Small Luxury Hotel of the World, hotel in Málaga

Well set in the center of Málaga, Palacio Solecio, a Small Luxury Hotel of the World provides air-conditioned rooms, a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free WiFi and a fitness center.

The breakfast was lovely. However, we believe $30 Euros for a buffet breakfast is a bit too much. Nothing spectacular about the breakfast. We could have had similar breakfast for $15.00 Euros per person. You do have attentive service. Everyone is there to assist you with anything you would like.

Soho Boutique Urban, hotel in Málaga

Ideally set in the center of Málaga, Soho Boutique Urban provides 3-star accommodations close to La Malagueta Beach and San Andres Beach.

The hotel is in an excellent location. It is right next to the historical center, as well as very close to the beach and it’s a 15-20 minute walk to the train and bus station. You can go on foot anywhere you need. The hotel is in a pedestrian street, so if you arrive with a car, parking might be a bit difficult. The rooms are of a good size, as well as the bathroom where there is enough space for toileteries. The bed was really comfortable with a good matress, which does not happen often in hotels. Staff were helpful and friendly.

FAQs about hotels in Málaga

he Colorful Soul of the Costa del Sol

The birthplace of Picasso is as colorful as an artist’s palette, from the deep blue of the Mediterranean Sea to the golden sun, which gives 300 days of sunshine per year. When the sun sets, the vibrant nightlife awakens and you’ll find your place among the youthful square of the old center, the trendy bars of La Malagueta or on one of the terraces of Pedregalejo.

There’'s also rich history underneath the sun and fun. Alcazaba is a Moorish castle from the 11th century and just next to it are the remnants of a Roman Theatre. The white stone tower of the Malaga Cathedral rises up in the heart of the city centre, and offers an interesting respite from sun bathing on the magnificent and popular beaches.

A more modern history can be appreciated by visiting the birthplace of Picasso and a museum full of exhibitions by Malaga 's most famous resident. A more relaxed Spanish city than Madrid and Barcelona, Malaga is still the gateway to the Costa del Sol and the busy Malaga Airport is only 6 miles from the center of town.

From budget hostels to 5-star luxury hotels, with Booking.com you're sure to find the perfect place to stay for your sunny vacation.

Nice city, clean streets, nice to walk thru, not to small, not to big, lots of restaurants, terrific place to have breakfast (go to La Flor Negra), Sea& beach at walking distance. Our stay was 5 min. away from the touristic centre. We were there for 6 day's (5 nights). 1 or 2 day's less is also enough to visit Malaga unless you want to visit the surroundings.

Malaga is a wonderful city with so much history.

Malaga is a wonderful city with so much history. Have been flying here for more than 40 years but often passed through to another destination until about 15 years ago when we discovered the draw of this city. It has everything. Beaches and chiringuitos, city experiences, great tapas and restaurants generally, a market to challenge the one in Barcelona, plenty of Picasso , galleries and museums, shopping, pedestrian streets, a wonderful cathedral and architecture generally, a regenerated port area which is worth spending a day visiting. Lots to do: live free music often, flamenco, street entertainers, boat trips around the bay and harbour, great wines .... we had better stop or there will be too many visitors.

Loved wandering the streets and seeing the various sites around the city, we were there in May so didnt have too many issues getting into the sites. I would advise going as early as possible though to avoid the cruise ship tours. We ate out every night and thoroughly enjoyed every meal. Getting to the city from the airport was quick and easy using the bus, we also did a day trip to Ronda on the bus which was a fantastic day.

Malaga is a very nice city to visit and see the innercity of Midevil history but as well you are close enough to beaches where you can soak your feet or have great food and drinks at the harbor. There is a mixed of adult activities. It is not pricy so there are many options to eat on a budget.

    I absolutely loved Malaga.

I absolutely loved Malaga. This was my first visit, and this city was perfect for me. Compact, clean and nice, not too crowded (May/June), very nice city beach (La Malagueta). The choice of good local affordable food is almost overwhelming. Lively but not stressful atmosphere. Must sees for my preferences was the food market (Mercado central de Atarazanas), the arab fortress Alcazaba and Castillo de Gibralfaro, the beach, the old town itself and the Museo del Automóvil y la Moda de Málaga. There are plenty more, and the list of museums will keep you busy for several visits. Also it does not feel too touristy, the Spanish speaking crowd seem to well outweigh foreigners and you are more likely to be addressed in Spanish than any other languages most of the time, but think you will get by by only English too

We just happened onto this hotel on Booking.com and it looked interesting. but it greatly exceeded our expectations. the staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. The entire facility is beautifully decorated, the room was huge, had a large outdoor deck and a tremendous view of Malaga and the sea. The restaurant overlooks the sea and served us a lovely dinner even though it was almost 11pm when we arrived. we easily walked along the beach boardwalk to the main part of Malaga old town.

Location was superb and although it’s central to the old town it’s very quiet. The staff were very good and efficient and gave great restaurant tips. The bed is very comfortable. the shower excellent. The hotel is very clean. I had a room with no external windows which although was a bit cheaper I would have opted to pay for windows if I had known it’s less joyful to relax during the day. I didn’t include breakfast as there are good immediate options but it looked good.

Lovely quiet boutique hotel in the old town. Just 3mins walk to the main square yet not too busy a location. Room and bathroom were great.
