The gazebo was a perfect setting for a late night reception. The mini golf was a cute idea, but we didn't play. The staff was very helpful, and accommodating.

The meals were outstanding! Hats off to the chef and servers were fabulously attentive and friendly. Our cabin, 28, was freshened up each day and firewood replenished. The grounds were kept up beautifully and the cabins themselves were in excellent condition. It truly felt like paradise in nature! Thank you for the awesome water bottles and champagne to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday. That was appreciated!

It's a great place to visit if you have just one day and would like to do a lot. You can leave your car near the lake, and the walk to the lake won't take too long. Lake Louise is very beautiful during the summer (after June 21) and also lovely during the winter. My recommendation is to always check the photos of the lake before commenting so it will be a surprise for you if on May 26 it still has ice on top.

Lake Louise is a beautiful picturesque area of Banff that is easily accessible off the Trans Canada not far from Calgary airport.
The town has limited accommodations and during peak season can be difficult to secure a room, so book early.
During the winter months the proximity of the town to the ski resorts is great, and the Moraine Lake snowshoe hike is beautiful.
For a closer and more convenient experience, skating and walking on Lake Louise is an amazing experience, and with the Chateau ice bar at your disposal, a perfect way to enjoy nature without needing to venture off the beaten path.
The Lake Louise Inn has a wonderful full service restaurant that serves some off the chart, top notch pizza's with local brews if that's your way to enjoy it.
Breakfast is available at most of the hotels I've stayed in, inquire when booking, it may be included with your stay.
Summer, well, it's busy...! Be prepared too wait in lineups, and book your spot for the tour bus to the lake early.

We did not realise that their was a shuttle bus to the ski resort. This would have been great for us, as the walk from the car park to the ski area is a considerable distance if you do not get there early.

I love Lake Louise, it is beautiful!
I love Lake Louise, it is beautiful! The village has a lot to offer any level tourist/traveler. There are plenty of restaurants and shops to choose from. The prices are quite high and really do need to be reduced in the tourist shops. It has world class skiing and unmatched natural beauty.

Amazing place to visit even in Winter (late Nov), all the christmas decorations were up, we still walked 1/2 way around the lake. Fairmont Chateu upgraded us to top floor lake view room, we watched the sun come up over Lake Louise....that was very special. Not much else to do in Lake Louise at winter if you don't ski. Lake Louise Village is nothing. Bow Valley Parkway is just beautiful. Do Johnston Canyon but definitely need cleats if there is snow on the ground as the paths become very slippery. Try get there at 10am or before as less people. By lunch time it is very busy.

The views are awesome so draws hordes of people.
The views are awesome so draws hordes of people. Found it to be extremely crowded. Must travel by bus to Lake Morraine and if you drive to Lake Louise, expect to pay $20 for parking. Free after 7:00 PM.
1. The location couldn't be beaten. It was right after you turned into Lake Louise town, right across from Bill Peyto's Cafe (a great spot to eat at, by the way!).
2. Check-in was fast and painless, with no line
3. Plenty of parking right outside the rooms
4. Ice machine for hydration, pools and heated tubs available for use
5. There is an in-house breakfast/dinner buffet, restaurant, Starbucks, and convenience store. We did not use any of them since they seemed overpriced. Just so you know they're there
The one bedroom plus loft was excellent. it was very clean and comfortable, and easily fit all four of my family members (three adults and one child). The kitchenette and furniture were all perfect for our needs. The restaurants at Lake Louise Inn and others that were walkable to within the area were all excellent. The ski rentals and village market were a mere 6- to 8-minute walk away. We used the hourly shuttle to and from Lake Louise Ski Resort and found it easy to use and very reliable.
Absolutely adored our beautiful Jacuzzi Suite complete with fireplace, proper coffee, huge tub and creek view.
We loved sitting out by the campfire, reading in our room with the doors open and cooking dinner on the BBQ. It was such an easy 15 minute drive to Lake Louise too.
We were lucky enough to see a moose cow with her calf in the forest on our drive in. We were warned that bears had been in camp a few days before but we didn’t spot any during our stay.
Our queen pet friendly suite (we didn’t bring pets) was renovated with modern furnishings and amenities. The bed was comfortable and it was great to have a sitting area and microwave/refrigerator/sink. The hot tub room was beautifully cedar panelled and clean. The lodge is in a perfect location for everything Lake Louise has to offer. Breakfast was hardy and a great start to a day of skiing. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was good and with lots of options. Nevertheless, when it was a little busier, they ran out of everything very soon (whether dishes, cups or hot food).
It is one of the cheaper options in Lake Louise town. Staying in that town makes travel times to the lakes a lot shorter, but since you need to drive to P&R at the Ski Resort anyway, you might consider sleeping elsewhere (but Banff NP is pricey anyway).
This is a great location to visit Lake Louise. We were delighted to have chosen to stay one night at Deer Lodge, which allowed us to enjoy Lake Louise and the opportunity to take the bus to Moraine Lake. If given the option, we'd like to stay an extra night at Deer Lodge, we haven't had enough time to go further on the trails in the mountains around Lake Louise. The restaurant provided very tastes food.
The hotel is set in a beautiful location with great access to the village. It is also easy to walk to Lake Louise from the Prost hotel (4km up hill).
The hotel feels very comfortable and the staff and great.
The rooms are big and the beds are really comfy. I also like that they all have balcony’s.
The post pub is also great - good food and selection of beverages.
We had a room on the third floor with lovely mountain views. Good location in Lake Louise village with public shuttle bus to the lake Louise. Bus stop across the road. Close to a few eateries and shops. Free parking at hotel.
If you plan on visiting Moraine Lake too you need to book ahead the shuttle bus.
Nice location near the creek with easy access to Lake Louise and all the hiking in the area. Cabins were well-stocked. The kitchen was small, but had everything we needed. Wood burning stove was nice for cool mornings and fire pits by the creek were great for s’mores in the evening.
Loved this place. Beautiful setting near Lake Louise with a beautiful mountain view from the Cooper cabins. Very cute, spotless studio cabin with full kitchen, well-stocked enough for us to cook dinners and breakfast each day. And walkable to Lake Louise and all the hiking trails.
Great place to stay to see a unique treasure -Moraine Lake - without all the daytime crowds around. Nice cabins with wood fires and lovely views. The food was first class and although the accomodation is expensive, dinner was reasonably priced and a cooked breakfast is included.
Comfortable and quiet room, nice living room and good facilities (kitchen, lockers, laundry).
Useful information about the local bus to lake Louise (price: CAD 2), which stops just in front of the hostel.
Perfect location just right beside lake Louise. Hotel provide free buffet breakfast and it is excellent delicious. Also give me a free bottle of wine as welcome gift, so nice and warm.
Location is very good that is only 4 minites by drive to Lake Louise. And they also provide private shattle reservation to Lake Moraine! Staff in this hotel are very kind and friendly.
Staying at the Post Hotel is immersing yourself in luxury. It's an experience more than a stay and it brings back memories of winter holidays in Austria. Wonderful!
