Nice big room, though it was for handicapped folks. Not sure why I got it. I had requested a non-airport-side room, which I did not get. I did very much appreciat the 2 guys who came to test and then replace my coffee maker at 6 am - they were the best part of my stay!

Exploring Los Angeles, the place where movies are made, you feel like you’re in a dream. Santa Monica Pier is the end point of the fabled Route 66, while just south is bohemian Venice Beach, lined by tall, swaying palms. Go slightly inland from the boardwalk to catch a glimpse of the canals that earned the area its name.
Head north to the golden beach and stunning scenery of Malibu and see why movie stars over the decades have settled here. Also popular with the rich and famous are Bel Air and Beverly Hills, home to exclusive Rodeo Drive.
And the reason for all this glitz and glamour? Hollywood, of course! Sitting high on a hill, the iconic sign is visible for miles around, while below the gold stars on Hollywood Boulevard immortalize celebrities of past and present. Be there on premiere night to see them grace the red carpet of Grauman’s Chinese Theater.
Over the hill is Universal Studios, with behind-the-scenes tours as well as rides. Next door are the Warner Brothers Studios, and Paramount Studios are closer to Downtown LA.
Whether you decide to live like a star in a luxury LA hotel or choose a cheap motel through Booking.com, it’s worth renting a car to get around this sprawling city and out to Los Angeles Airport (LAX).

Great places to visit - hike to Hollywood sign, helicopter ride over the city, Laguna Beach, Venice beach, Santa Monica Pier.
Not so great - expensive! Busy during rush hours, big city to get around so need a car. Difficult to find healthy food options as few and far between. Prepare to queue!

Dodgers game was an addition to our trip and we truly enjoyed it. We found people in the city to be friendly and helpful. Favorite areas to stay were Beverly Hills and Hollywood. And downtown stay at the CitizenM was perfect to catch the game.

Santa Monica is fine. The beach.
Santa Monica is fine. The beach. The main street without cars. Good shopping and restaurants opportunities. We booked a hop-on hop off tour. One sees a lot of skyscrapers in LA but the streets are nothing special

Went there is visit family and watch Dodgers games. They were very accommodating as they won every game we saw (who could ask for anything more). We also went to several comedy clubs. What a great deal that is. . no fee just a request order two things (drink or food). Check out Flappers in Burbank. Note: they will charge for famous people like Jay Leno.

LA was my bucket-list destination, but it is pretty much bottom of the bucket. Honestly, I hated the city. It was dirty, crowded, the people were rude, and sadly the city needs to do more to address its homelessness crisis. Went in a couple tours, but The best part of my stay was the tour of LA’s hoods
After reading reviews you really would think this place was in a horrible area and that's far from the truth. You do have to pass by a lot..a lot of homeless people, it's Los Angeles downtown, not hollywood but once you get in the area of the hotel there a many blocks where they have kept it clean (literally power wash the side walks every morning) and are building it up. There's a convenient store right downstairs, many restaurants and shops walking distance. There's also a little shopping mall "Little Tokyo".
I've stayed at the Biltmore before and it's definitely old school grandeur, which makes it charming to me. I live in Los Angeles, but I booked this room to finish a screenplay. It was the perfect place to do so. It's in a great location downtown, close to all of my favorite DTLA restaurants. Most of the staff was extraordinary, especially the bell persons who would greet you upon arriving and leaving the hotel. The bartender was great too. A couple of front desk persons were a little short, but overall great.
Nice hotel in a central location near the Grove. The accommodations meets the standards you would except for a hotel at this cost. Friendly staff and happy to keep our bags on day of check out. There is a pool and lounge chairs to relax in the common area. There is also a valet service at the hotel. Would definitely stay again when back in LA and looking to be close to the Grove, Melrose Ave, West Hollywood and the Beverly Centre.
Check in was easy - we called ahead regarding parking and the desk clerk was more than helpful in recommending the cheapest nearby overnight parking garage - also, the location is a real winner for this hotel - right off of Hollywood Blvd. - I don't think there's any escaping the homelessness in California, so aside from that, this hotel is smack dab in the middle of where a tourist might want to be.
Perfect spot in Hollywood and a beautiful hotel. Clean, modern and spacious. Had the Hollywood Sign View Room which was amazing, with a proper view of the sign.
It’s right next to the Ovation Mall and the Hollywood Walk of Fame so was extremely convenient for us.
As expected it wasn’t cheap but that was not surprising given the area.
Overall not one thing to complain about!
Great location only 10 minutes walk to the hall of fame and the hollywood downtown area, plenty of shops and bars and things to do all around, we picked this hotel as its 1 stop from universal studios.
The hotel itself had nice staff that allowed us to leave luggage when we checked out and also provided us with hot water for tea and breakfast in the mornings.
We were glad to find this small budget hotel as we wanted to stay in the Echo park area and LA ain't cheap. The room was large enough with a good shower and was clean. Staff were nice to deal with, and there is free parking behind the hotel and a few spots out front. It is a great location if you want to explore echo park and silver lake easily
A nice tidy hotel in the downtown area of LA, if you are wanting Hollywood on the door step, this is not the place, Uber into the main tourist areas $25 - $40, local busses are just on the door step. If your wanting the sporting events Basketball, Hockey, its perfect. Hotel is friendly and priced as you would expect of LA.
Compared to the hotels in this area/ west LA, Hilton Culver City was the best bag for your buck. The price to cleanliness/ modern ratio was the best I could find. Other hotels of this cleanliness and reliability in the area were a lot more expensive and anything cheaper was kinda dirty looking/ or hostels.
I loved the staff and how helpful they were and excellent at there jobs !
Very clean, great location, fairly cheap for your expenses! Clean couldn’t complain about anything on this hotel! I recommend the Trylon Hotel out of any other locations near by!! By far the best place I’ve stayed at!!!
This is by far the best hostel I've stayed at in Los Angeles, very clean, laundry on-site and plenty of seating in the commons area. The owners are so nice and always willing to assist with anything you need. Also, it's only 5 mins from Downtown LA and Dodger stadium!!
The room was adequate and comfortable, and the hotel is conveniently close to the airport with a free Hertz shuttle stopping nearby. It was cheaper than anything else in that vicinity. Great if you just want a night near the aiport for an early flight. BUT.
Hotel was clean, well managed and located in a safe and pleasant part of Los Angeles. Can highly recommend for anyone visiting LA for the first time in the downtown area, or those looking to return and find somewhere comfortable and very pleasant.
The hotel location is good. Santa Monica bus 4 straight outside. I traveled by train thus Uber was cheap and quick. If you want to stay downtown this location is good. Motel is basic but that's what i expected.
CitizenM is in a great location right in downtown, close to a bunch of great restaurants and a lively area. The hotel was also super clean, and the breakfast and fitness center were great amenities.
There weren't other cheaper options around the time I booked the hotel. I booked tommie hollywood without hesitation. Great location. Very close to hollywood walk of fame and universal studio.
+ the Guy was very nice and helpfull
+ near downtown
