FAQs about hotels in Blackpool

Beside the Seaside, Beside the Sea

A favored vaction spot since the Victorian era, Blackpool is a traditional English seaside town. Amusement arcades and crazy golf courses line the promenade and dotted between them are plenty of places to pick up fresh fish ‘n’ chips and Blackpool rock.

On the 5-mile sandy beach, children can enjoy Punch and Judy shows and donkey rides. Old-fashioned entertainment at its best. At the other end of the scale is the Blackpool Pleasure Beach, a fairground complex comprising a variety of rides, including The Big One - once the world’s tallest and steepest rollercoaster. They actually had to get permission from nearby Blackpool Airport to erect it!

More seaside pursuits are on the town’s 3 piers, one of which is Grade II listed. However, the most recognizable landmark is the Blackpool Tower which houses a circus, 4D cinema and a world-renowned ballroom, to name a few. Modeled on the Eiffel Tower, it is spectacularly lit during the annual Blackpool Illuminations, when the whole town is bathed in bright lights. The trams plying the prom are also lit. Look out for the one shaped like a ship.

A popular bachelor and bachelorette destination, Blackpool has accommodations ranging from North Shore hotels to South Shore B&Bs - see Booking.com for the best choice.

We really enjoyed our stay in Blackpool.

We really enjoyed our stay in Blackpool. There is plenty to do. Lots of cafes and restaurants. The tram is good to use to get you to visit different places. Fleetwood market is a good place to visit, Blackpool tower, Sealife Centre and Madame Tussaud’s .

We went to the tower dungeon, that was very entertaining, I'm nit going to spoil it for people visiting it, as (there were a few surprises through out the tour) the actors/staff were fab, bar and gift shop too. The Mancester Pub do lovely food, our first time eating there, but have visited before. Very pretty princess horsedrawn carraiges for kids & adults. Trams every 10mins Fleetwood is a quiet place with cafe and amusements on the sea front, cleavlies abit more busy, both places are nice to have a stroll round, beaches clean, plenty of cafes and icecream vans!

Blackpool centre could do with a referb.

Blackpool centre could do with a referb. It’s dated and untidy. There wasn’t much to do other than spend obscene amounts of money in the arcades. The entertainment for the kids on the central pier was good. We ate at turtle bay. The adults food was nice, but the kids food was awful.

Blackpool overall is fine. The stay at Bluewaters hotel was marred by several issues, and the manager's handling of these problems was appalling. The room did not match the online pictures. This is a management issue, and it's deceptive to guests. The blinds in the room were broken, and the walls were so thin that noise from other rooms was unbearable. The shower was rusty with a weak water flow. The lift was out of order, forcing guests to struggle with their luggage up and down multiple floors. The overall cleanliness was also a major concern. The bathroom was unkempt, with mould and an unclean toilet. This hotel, under the current management, is a health and safety hazard.Their lack of accountability and disregard for guest experience is shocking.Staying at the Bluewaters Hotel is strongly discouraged until significant improvements are made, beginning with a more engaged and responsive management team. When we arrived we were given a small room which they called double, with a tiny shower which l couldn't fit in,if you are medium to big built you wouldn't fit.we had a 5year old told them you gave us a wrong room coz what we booked was one with an extra bed and seaside view.Well the manager told us she cannot do anything call booking.com and we did,she was sent an email to sort it but did not,we called again booking.com while at the reception after 5hrs of getting the email which she claimed she did not get, changed our room.Booking.com was very helpful on this situation.I would not advise anyone to go to this shitty hotel, the worst ever.l strongly give them a ZERO START.THEY ARE FAKE PICTURES ON THIER WEBSITE

Blackpool, once the mecca of the north is now a shadow of it's former glory. Closed down shops and hotels seem to equal the occupied premises in the South Shore area. It definitely is not the fun place we used to visit.

Would definitely come back if in Blackpool again. The location was excellent for the train station, Blackpool town centre, seafront and the nightlife. Alot of work is going on in the public areas. Will definitely look forward to seeing the Hotel in the future once the work is completed. The room was comfy and had everything we needed for a nights stay.

A nice location on seafront . Hotel had an air of fading elegance with some lovely features downstairs. A very good choice for breakfast hot/cold at the self service buffet and you could eat as much as you wanted. Comfortable bed. Nice to have a bath to soak legs after walking around Blackpool all day.

The hotel was spotless, and the hosts were so lovely. Breakfast was the best we've had in blackpool. Sitting out on the front with a drink was a lovely sun trap. Car park a street away that was £9.50 for 24 hours Defo be back here. Thanks for a great stay!!!

Lovely hotel, beautiful room, outstanding staff, and excellent food. Easily the best of the many hotels/B&B I've ever used in Blackpool. Location was a bonus, close to the seafront and tram stop.
