Tenby is hilly with lots of small, interesting and quaint streets to wander around. Plenty of places to eat and drink even in high season. Signage of the coastal paths from the town centre could be better. Enjoyed the costal walks though they are very hilly but worth the effort. Beautiful beaches with life guard attendance. Tenby is a lovely seaside town with colorful buildings and a quaint downtown with lots of cute shops and restaurants. There are numerous beaches with a large swinging high/low tide that was fascinating to watch, especially how the boats in the harbor are in water part of the day and on sand another part. There are lots of coastal path walks either from Tenby or nearby. We took a bus to Manorbier, had a pint then walked the 7+ miles along the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path back to Tenby. It was gorgeous. We know Tenby well so we knew what to expect. A lively atmosphere, beautiful beaches, fish and chips and ice cream are a must! Hilly and steps to the beach but if you can make it, worth the climb. There are a few parking spaces in front of the hotel and a heated swimming pool at the back, very secure. Also, there a few sitting areas outside hotel to enjoy the harbour view. Staff is friendly. We had an evening meal which was reasonably priced and quite good. The dining room is posh, with chandeliers and a huge mirror in the middle. Looking at previous reviews this hotel has had a little make over with new carpets right though new bed and bedding and towels in the rooms. Breakfast was lovely, perfect views right over the beach and harbour. Outside of hotel paintwork do look a little batted by the weather because right on seafront. We enjoyed a very comfortable stay and would definitely go back again. The breakfast menu was varied and served at your table.
