So many wonderful things to see and do within an easy driving distance from Inverness. This is the place to stay to explore the highlands. We enjoyed having the advantage of being in a city with all it offers including an airport to fly in and out, History is all around you from stone age to castles. The countryside is beautiful. It was everything we imagined of Scotland.
It was everything we imagined of Scotland. The local Pipeband play on a Tuesday and Saturday, keep that in mind - it was wonderful. People were so friendly. We did a tour of Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle which was great. Culloden Battle field was amazing, very airy but if you like Scottish History don't miss this - the shop was wonderful here. If you go - be sure to check out the sheep dog demonstration (https://workingsheepdogs.uk/ - the site says under construction, but still available).
