We stayed in the Governor’s Suite which is beautifully appointed, spacious, warm and super comfy. The large modern bathroom has a big walk in shower and separate bath. The bed is very comfortable. The balcony gets amazing afternoon sun and is a great spot for enjoying a glass of wine while watching the world go by on Main Street. Dinner at the Captain’s Dining Room was sensational. The wonderful friendly staff made it an all round brilliant weekend away. We’ll definitely be back!

Breakfast was lovely - freshly baked shortbread beautiful and as it turned a little cold it was lovely to light the fire which warmed the cottage. Wonderfully welcoming and comfortable and every need was met.

Everything! The room was spotless and beautifully decorated. I was especially touched by the thoughtful details like cotton pads and cotton buds — such a rare and lovely gesture! Carmel and Stuart were warm and helpful — Carmel even came upstairs in person to answer my question, which was so kind. The breakfast spread was amazing, especially the homemade bread spread with a hint of lemon. The house itself is full of history and charm — a beautifully restored 165-year-old villa with a gorgeous garden. I absolutely loved it!

    Beautiful accommodation, close to township.

    Beautiful accommodation, close to township. Everything we needed was provided, very compact but all we needed. Breakfast and extras provided especially the chocolate cake set this accommodation apart from others. Definitely 5 star.

    Liked  · Location was handy to the place we were going and almost accessible to everything. Staff was friendly and showed us around. Disliked  · Room 1 is infested with tiny ladybugs . Could’ve been better if there’s no ladybug pestering around the ceiling when we’re already in bed. Found about 7-8 inside room and they do fly! Ive got my son sleeping on other bed and seen one crawling, that’s when i found out when I look at ceiling that it’s around the room. And just when we’re about to go in the morning, thought there was a fly flying, nope! Just the ladybug 🐞 which landed on the curtain. They seriously need to start cleaning the room to remove those tiny ladybugs. Whilst it doesn’t pose much of danger, I wasn’t able to have a good sleep as was waking up checking thinking it might crawl on us and get inside our ears coz they’re quite tiny, and that could be painful if it does end there! Left a review at their site as well to tell that it’s infested with tiny ladybugs🐞 also could do better with kettle, was about to make tea but found it very rusty.

    Lovely feel to this town.

    Lovely feel to this town. All the shops have worked together to create a realistic "old-world" atmosphere. Visitors can browse or buy in a pleasant and unpressured way. I always feel happy during my visits to Greytown.

    Wandered along the main street of Greytown earlier in the day and went out to Dinner at the White Swan Hotel with a small group of people for an occasional meet up and get together. The Winterfest Christmas was on in town but that was not the purpose of our visit.

    Greytown is the most charming place.

    Greytown is the most charming place. All the shops are interesting and varied with beautiful things and charming and friendly staff. The cafes are great. Wineries are close and it’s a nice easy side trip to Martinborough. A lovely area.

    Places to visit

    Places to visit Butcher shop superb, service and selection of meat fantastic. Bra shop Tina owner came outside to assist me even tho the shop was caught up in a fire. Wonderful. Breakfast had at Offerings Cafe great selection, great coffee and food

    Bed was very comfortable, very clean unit, lots of storage. My hubby enjoyed the quality body wash, shampoo etc. Having a separate kitchen, lounge area was an unexpected bonus. We thoroughly took advantage of this 😊 Hosts we're friendly and knowledgeable about the area, we highly recommend staying here if you're in Greytown.

    “If you love stepping back in time, this charming little cottage could be your dream getaway. The surrounding garden is peaceful and pretty, creating a lovely setting to relax.     Absolutely immaculate. The decor, design and the quiet ambiance it created made the property an exceptional one. Close to the shopping, cafes etc but just far enough removed form the busy weekend traffic in Greytown.
